There is peaceful and then there is Coffee Cove. An amazing piece of heaven where you don't know the outside world exist, This charming house transports you back to 1890's and the night sky is spectacular. The host are very helpful and welcoming. If you are looking for a place to finish writing your novel this is where I would book. It is worth going out of your way to stay

The efficiency unit is very well equipped and located on a hill over looking Coffee Cove. Was lovely on the deck in the evening overlooking the water. Very quiet except for the birds!!! Just loved the solitude. Please be aware that the bedroom is on the upper level and the bathroom is on the main floor. A very good stay overall.

Wow! Great place to get away from it all. The setting is gorgeous and so relaxing. We stayed in the Baker Cottage. The house was so very charming and super clean. It has everything you’ll need for your stay, just bring the food. Our hosts were perfect. All smiles, charming, present but discreet. We will definitely return.

Lighthouse Cottage: It was a regretfully short but wonderfully sweet stay at this cottage. A unique and comfortable experience.
Environment was clean, was super cozy and included many useful items (dishes, extra blankets, pamphlets including local information etc).
A private patio with comfort seating allowed for a wonderful, peaceful evening in nature with my husband.
Access to the lantern room/attic of the lighthouse by stairs made for a unique experience.

Service: Hosts were warm, friendly and approachable and had "Newfoundland hospitality". They were tech savy which made it easy to book and pay.

Grounds/Area: The outdoor of the retreat was near the ocean and scenic. Nearby is a small rocky beach, some sheep and quaint homes on a winding road leading to the edge of a lush green cliff which the retreat sits upon. Large orange poppies and a wooden bench swing and an overturned wooden boat decorate for a cozy feel.
Retreat is a short drive to town which offers convenient stores and restaurants etc.

Other: Gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because compared to other cottages I've stayed at, the interior and decor wasn't as modern or appealing or in good shape (please note, the lighthouse wasn't entirely completed during our stay and the decor was antique and classic country.) As well, the inconvenience of walking from our vehicle with our luggage up/down stairs, across a shared patio wasn't ideal but these are not reasons that would stop us from returning and hosts did offer assistance!

If you love peace, tranquility, relaxing, and getting away from it all, then this is definitely the place for you! Unfortunately my wife and I could only stay 1 night in the lighthouse cottage, but we brought some great steaks and had an awesome BBQ and fire on our completely secluded deck. Sitting on the dock with our toes in the water for hours and not hearing a car, boat or person was very special, and having cocktails in the top of the lighthouse overlooking the calm and peaceful Mussel farms in the bay was definitely a new first. ||||In the morning our wonderful hostess Nola suggested we drive down the road to meet her husband Paul who was helping offload thousands of pounds of freshly harvested Mussels - glad we took the extra 30 minutes to meet Paul and learn all about Mussel farming!||||The Lighthouse cottage was very clean and truly unique. Would go back in a minute!

We stayed in Baker Cottage for two night which was so relaxing. It rained the days we were there but it did not take away from the view. The cottage was comfortable and had a way of making you sit and think of the families that raised their children there. Our hosts were there to help with anything you would need and a pleasure to talk to. You will not be disappointed if you want true Newfoundland accommodations and hospitality.

Wir verbrachten eine Nacht in der wunderschönen Bed and Breakfast Suite mit eigenem Eingang. Das Zimmer war sauber und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Ein kleines Wohnzimmer mit TV gehörte auch dazu. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft schön und Nola und Paul sind tolle Gastgeber. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Frühstück war fantastisch und wir konnten es in unserer Suite mit Blick auf die Cove geniessen. Wir würden sofort wieder im Coffee Cove Seaside Retreat übernachten. Stayed in the lighthouse cabin and were quite comfortable. The ocean views from the property are wonderful and we very much enjoyed the seaside campfire. Hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.
