My brothers and I went wolf hunting in the winter of 2023, guided by Chad, and we have another trip planned in February 2025. In 2023, I really didn't know what to expect, since I had not been wolf hunting before (brothers hunted with RLO for bear and wolf). Chad is very personable, skilled, and most importantly, knows his shit. Camp was laid back, relaxed, and we laughed a lot and ate VERY well! Each morning, we woke up to a hot home cooked breakfast, we provided our own lunch (sandwiches, snacks, etc...), and came back to the lodge at night to a hot home cooked meal (with dessert) provided by Chad. During the hunts, Chad would respond very promptly to any text questions that I had relating to the hunt. RLO is extremely thorough in their preparation, and really bent over backwards at EVERY step along the way. For example, I had a flat tire on my truck, and during the day Chad took the tire to town to have it fixed. When I arrived back to camp after the hunt, the tire was back on my truck, ready to go! It seemed natural (not forced or over exerting) for Chad to want to provide a world class experience and it was clear that he wanted the hunt to be successful. Even though I did not shoot a wolf in 2023, the experience blew away my expectations and was worth every penny! My brothers and I joke "nothing ever goes smoothly".... Chad at RLO has proven us wrong!!
