Ordered fish and chips and onion rings. The fish and chip was one of the best I had in NS, the batter was lightly coated, not too oily or too thick but just right. Fish and chips is highly recommended. It’s a food truck so the place is an open area.. good to hangout with

Peeler's Fish & Chip truck is on Sackville Drive and Armoyan Dr. In an empty lot, with lots of places to park and sit at a picnic table or just pick up your order to take home! I was very impressed with the terrific staff that worked as a team to keep the orders going smoothly as they cooked and packaged the best Fish and Chips I have had in a couple of years. The chips were crisp and hot, but the fish was the real winner. Large, lightly coated filets of haddock that melted in your mouth. A lemon slice and tartar sauce are offered, as well as a variety of condiments.
Check out the yellow food truck if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed! The prices on the menu was accurate on July 4th/25.

Peelers is the new gold standard. Nothing else comes remotely close. I am a fish and chip fanatic and l have tried most places in the Halifax area as well as throughout the Province. I also seek out fish restaurants abroad including Europe, the US and as far away as Hawaii and Australia. Nothing matches the quality of this little truck. Not even the English where fish and chips were invented. The fish is really fresh (not fresh frozen like others), the service is exemplary and the prices are more than fair. It is truly the standard to which others aspire but rarely achieve. Be good to yourself and treat yourself to the very best fish and chips.

I have driven past this food truck for several years and upon Googling hours of operation, I was in luck! It was 15 mins before they were closing. They were welcoming, efficient and WOW very fast - less than 5 minutes! I craved fish-n-chips so I ordered two pieces as it was my first visit and unsure what I would get. The lady couldn't close the container for the size of the fish! The fish came with homemade fries and every morsel was absolutely delicious. There were approx. 6 picnic tables and a large parking lot to sit in your vehicle. I will absolutely return to this vendor. If you haven't been, hurry and go!

I am not a big fish lover but tried their fish and chips for the first time .
Food was amazing. Pieces of fish were big really impressed.

Love love love love love this place for some delicious deep fried haddock and home fries! Family-owned business that stays on site from April to October. If you're looking for that old fashioned lightly battered haddock with beautiful fresh home cut fries, this is your spot! We definitely recommend.
