This cafe is true to its name...Cosy.
It can seat around 25 people. Food is great and the price .... Well take a look at the menu 👍. The atmosphere is friendly almost family like. You don't have to wait long for your food and portion size is moderate. I have eaten here a half dozen times and will continue to eat here. There isn't many places were you get great bang for your buck, this place is one of them.

Do not go here for breakfast. I warned you. Everything tasted like fish, guy running it didn’t speak English and screwed up my order and then argued with me about it. Beans taste like there is something weird in them. Hollandaise sauce made me want to throw up. Everything tasted slightly contaminated with fish. Cook said he just had haddock on the grill before our food. How did this get a 4.7?

Good place to grab brunch! The restaurant was cute and cozy, we felt comfortable eating there.

We got steak and eggs, and egg Benedict, which came with a good portion! They seemed to have marinated the steak, so it tasted so good!!!
The servers were super friendly and helpful, which was a plus.
Love this cute restaurant and def will be back soon.

It’s breakfast time!! We first discovered this place during the pandemic. Today was the first time eating inside instead of getting take out.

My wife got the 3x3x3 breakfast which comes with 3 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, 3 sausages and toast. She got baloney instead of bacon. I got the 2 eggs and bacon breakfast which comes with toast (I got multigrain.). I also ordered coffee.

The eggs were done perfectly. My bacon was well done (just how I like it) and the multigrain toast was delicious. The coffee was standard diner coffee.

We both enjoyed our meals and will certainly be back. We started eating and then remembered to take pictures.

Pros: Calm and cosy atmosphere. Plus the staff are nice, polite, and the owner is always checking in with the customers. There are hockey pictures and stuff on the walls (mostly Canadiens)

Cons: They offer sugar twin but not Splenda. As a newly diagnosed diabetic I try to use Splenda (Sucralose) whenever possible and try to avoid Aspartame.

This was the most disappointing meal I’ve ever had—I couldn’t even eat it. First, the order was supposed to include two scrambled eggs, but it only came with one. Second, what was labeled as hash browns was far from it; it was more like poorly prepared, half-mashed potatoes with an unpleasant taste and texture. Overall, the experience left me very frustrated and dissatisfied with my order.

One of the best brunch spots in the city. This place is a hidden gem! Their homemade fish cakes are the best I’ve had!! Amazing food and friendly service 🙂

No pretensions at this local diner / luncheonette. Sat at counter and throughly enjoyed the fish cakes (homemade) and eggs. Staff and onwer/cook/chef (I think) Tony were friendly and welcoming as we clearly weren’t neighborhood regulars.
There are some buzzy places on the busier Quinpool Rd that do have good food, but this place is in a more residential area and is the real deal.

Cosy's is truly a hidden jem of Halifax. 38 years in business, dynamite food and service - big shout to Jamilla for making us feel so welcome. 10/10 will return.
