Cute little tart shop with awesome local baked goods and friendly owners ! All the tarts we tried tasted amazing. The Nanaimo bars, lemon squares and eat more bars are a great choice too. Highly recommend

Love this cute little spot! Go early, they sell out and they only take cash (although the owner was kind enough to take an e-transfer from me). The oatmeal crusted banana muffin was probably the best muffin I have ever eaten. Moist, just sweet enough and melt in your mouth! I had to get 12 tarts, as they all looked so amazing! I am saving them for dessert. I really can't say enough good things about the Little Tart ❤️

Best tarts I have ever had. The pastry is lovely; light and flakey. We each had different ones and they were each as good as the next! My key lime was light and fluffy like a mousse. The lemon tart had shreds of rind, adding beautiful tartness. The pecan butter tart was so flavourful and the flavours perfectly balanced.

The owner was patient, helpful and friendly. The experience was most enjoyable.

Get there early to avoid disappointment. They close once sold out.

Love at first bite. We picked up 2 dozen tarts to share during a family gathering and everyone agreed that they were the best tarts they have ever had.
Our son had a cookie and I tried a bite. Best cookie ever!!!
I also couldn’t resist and so I bought a lemon square. I have no words. So so good!
Very nice owners who were fine with us sending an e-transfer since we didn’t realize it was a cash only establishment.
They work hard waking up at 3am to bake so they can share their passion and bring a memorable experience to anyone who tries their baked goods. Absolutely by far the best tarts in the Country. There is a reason they are so highly rated. Give them a try! You won’t regret it.

We finally managed to get our hands on the coveted tarts and I can see why they sell out within minutes of opening. Outrageously delicious with a huge selection of flavours and very reasonably priced. 6 tarts (quite large) and a Nanaimo bar cost us $19.

Tucked a 10-minute drive away from Haliburton's main drag, The Little Tart is only open on Friday-Sunday but is well worth waiting for.

Decorated with art by the owners (one of which we met and is also the shopkeep and baker), the shop offers an extensive collection of baked goods. Some hitherto unforeseen tarts on offer were: the Drama Berry, Buried Treasure and Mojito alongside the classics Butter and Pecan.

We were grateful to see the rainbow in the window.

(Be advised they do not sell coffee here, so grab one on your way to enjoy at the exterior picnic table. Worth it!)

Simply delicious! The owner is such a patient and kind man. There are a ton of different flavours of tarts. All very well done and fresh. Plus different cookies and squares. There is also art work for sale here. Only suggestion would to be go early in the day and bring cash!
