We went here with a group of friends for a farewell dinner (Moving from the area). The food was good, but expect to wait a LONG time to get your order. I do not know why it took so long as nothing was complicated. One our food did come, it was very tasty.

Once again the restaurant was a waste of time .
Called an hour ahead ,
Ordered dinner.
They told me when to come and again , second time now in a row they hadn’t even started my dinner when I arrived .
Won’t be fooled again !
I’ll go to the Forest Inn , as you should if you value your time .

Great course for any small town. FYI: For anyone wanting to write a review of the restaurant (which is not operated by the golf course), they have a facebook page called "Slgc Resto"

I have ate at many golf clubs and when I read Sioux Lookout had a restaurant that specialized in Asian and Canadian I looked forward to a good meal... not to be. Here on vacation I looked forward to some fresh ingredients. The Menu was Asian in so much as you could have a dish with rice... it was all steak or chicken. I do not eat meat and asked if they had any option.. fried fish and chips or fried shrimp.
The restaurant was like a canteen and expensive for what was offered. the staff were friendly. all round not much choice felt like a greasy spoon and fine if you have deep pockets and like a steak on a bun.

Had the opportunity for the first time to visit this course over the weekend. Definitely a must stop if you are into golf - it's a very nice course and poses some nice challenges! Staff and people were very friendly, and the beer was ice cold!

Unfortunately, we booked 18 holes for Saturday and was told there would be a tournament finishing up (for the record). Didn't see any issue with that - however when we actually golfed, there was two sets of 8 golfers in front of our tee off. It took 4 hours and 5 minutes to complete 9 holes! I've never heard of groups of 8 golfers going out - makes it extremely unenjoyable if you are behind them. If I was told at the time of booking there would be more than groups of 4 in front (nevermind 8 & 8), I would have found another time to book. That was truly disappointing and was about the worst round of golf I've ever had to experience. Not impressed on that end, lesson learned for next time when booking to ask # of people in groups in front.

Additionally, it would be really great if you can book a cart and not have it first-come, first-serve.
