I recently visited bar olo in West Vancouver and had the pleasure of trying their Beef Carpaccio and Burrito Salad. The Beef Carpaccio was a standout dish delicately sliced beef drizzled with olive oil and accented with capers and a hint of citrus, creating a beautifully balanced flavor profile. Each bite was tender and fresh, showcasing the chef’s attention to quality and detail.

The Burrito Salad provided a refreshing contrast, with a generous mix of crisp greens, hearty beans, and perfectly seasoned rice. Topped with succulent grilled protein and a zesty dressing, it was both satisfying and light an ideal complement to the rich Carpaccio.

Beyond the food, the restaurant’s warm ambiance and attentive service made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend Bar olo to anyone in West Vancouver looking for inventive dishes served in a welcoming atmosphere.

This has been my favourite place for date nights with my girlfriend! It has a warm atmosphere, friendly staff with impeccable service, and of course, delicious Italian cuisine.
Bar Olo also plays really nice music at the perfect volume. I never feel like I’m fighting to be heard or hear what my partner is saying.

I had the pleasure of dining here recently and was blown away. The food was absolutely incredible—authentic Italian flavors with a fresh, elevated twist. One standout dish was the beet carpaccio, which was beautifully balanced with pistachios, arugula, and goat cheese—an absolute must-try. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. The head chef has truly outdone himself with this menu. You can taste the passion and attention to detail in every dish. Great location with a patio, fantastic wine list, and the food was superb! Service was all around excellent too. My favourite was the clams appetizer, beef carpaccio and their salad. The pastas were great too! Don’t let some of the negative reviews fool you, try out this gem of a restaurant!

My husband and came across Bar Olo quite by chance last night when we were looking for an open restaurant on our way back from Wycliffe Park. And what a lovely find it was.
The waiters were genuinely attentive and immediately got us a table for 4 on the patio. The crisp white napery and single flower on the table are a rare luxury and added an elegance which we very much appreciated. I am strictly vegan for medical reasons with the added complication of not using any oils. The manager came out specially to discuss my dietary needs and between himself and the chef they put together a delicious pasta for me.
We enjoyed two bottles of Italian red when my daughter and her boyfriend joined us and each one of our meals was superb.
The atmosphere was upbeat and the restaurant was busy until at least 11pm when we took our leave.
I would highly recommend Bar Olo for a night out.

Last night had dinner at bar Olo. It was very disappointing experience. The branzino was a kids portion, probably around 40 g. It was fried and burnt. The size of the portions is ridiculously small. Not sure how they took out the fish to serve it to a customer. For the price they should offer docent meal. Staff were friendly.
