It’s a hip place to see and be seen. I was looking for a bar to see the Oilers WCF game and then walked in here. So happened there was a convention of some sort going on and many eye candy 🍭 around 😍🤩 the bartender Jordan was great and also training well with the apprentice

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Paradox Inn this past weekend and ended up spending a fair amount of time at the Karma Lounge. The staff were so consistently nice and helpful, drinks and food were tasty, vibes were solid. We ordered oysters, Caesar salad, beef tataki, roast chicken, and spaghetti al bronzo. We were so so happy with everything! My only critique was that the pasta dish is described to come with burrata, however when I received the dish I did not see a glorious ball of burrata on top, as I would have expected. Instead the waitress told me it was mixed into the pasta. I feel that is an odd choice- burrata has a very mild, milky taste and does not impart significant flavor to a dish when mixed in. I think most people would expect the burrata to be presented whole & on the top of the dish so that it could be highlighted better. I described it to my boyfriend as “whipped cream on top of a milkshake”- it kind of loses its purpose when it’s mixed in. Anyways, it was still very tasty and that is just my little bit of criticism. Overall, wonderful and would recommend!!

I came to Karma lounge to celebrate my dear friend’s birthday. It was my first time here and I loved the atmosphere as soon as I walked in. Great seating, decor, food (especially caviar - they had the good stuff 😉), drinks, music and most importantly, staff. Our server was Erica. Let me just say, I go out a lot, and have travelled a decent amount as well. Erica is probably one of the top 3 servers I’ve ever had. Shes extremely friendly, kind, polite, classy, attentive… the list could go on. She provided options, she gave insight and I noticed that she was always observing the tables around, so that as soon as I’d make eye contact, she would come over. All the staff here were wonderful, but Erica really stood out (even as the main server). I would definitely come here again. Thanks Karma Lounge for making my friend’s birthday so great!!! 🙏🙏

Great moody vibes for a hotel bar, be it getting drinks to wind down late at night, or getting something to nice eat before leaving for a flight. Friendly service as well. The only complaint is that the music is SO LOUD at night, though it's a perfect volume during the day. Also, their truffle fries weren't the best I've ever had, as the flavour was a little lacking. But overall is the perfect bar/lounge for travellers otherwise.

Erica was absolutely amazing! She was so knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, we almost didn’t come back to Karma Lounge because our last experience was so lack luster but Erica redeemed everything. We are staying at the Paradox hotel, we went Tuesday evening after checking in and ordered the black card and premium martini, received our drinks with no garnish, ice where there shouldn’t have been and our server seemed uninterested which made us leave after one drink. We returned Thursday reluctantly to grab a quick snack before our massage upstairs and Erica blew us away with her incredible service. Everything we ordered was perfect and at the end of our meal we shared with her our previous experience and she went out of her way to rectify it even though it was not her fault. She goes above and beyond and is such an asset to any establishment, we will be back if Erica is our server.

As someone who has worked in the service industry for many years and never leaves reviews, I felt it was necessary for this place as it was the WORST experience ever.
Firstly, it was my birthday and I made a reservation for 12 people a week prior. I even called the day of to confirm, which was also a bad experience in itself. I get there with some of my party and for 15 minutes the hostesses acted like they had no idea what was happening as we stood there. We finally get sat at a table with SEVEN seats. My reservation is for 12. I told the staff THREE times that if they cannot move my table to something bigger I need more chairs. To the point where my party of 12 all arrived and people were standing. I even went up myself to ask for more chairs saying, “its just embarrassing as I invited 12 people and now half of them are standing for my birthday.”
The table we were sat at also was sticky and had NOT been cleaned. Maybe don’t accept reservations for 12 people if the “biggest” table you have suits 6.
Secondly, we came for dinner at 7pm and ended up walking out at 8pm without eating and making a dinner reservation elsewhere. The service was insanely slow and the table could maybe accommodate a dinner for 6 people, so we had no choice but to leave.
Yep, we came their for a birthday dinner reservation and left without having dinner!
Thirdly, despite them not even having the reservation set up for us, as we were being sat, we were told “we need the table back by 9.” I’m sorry but what? We were standing there waiting for our reservation for almost 15 minutes, it was 7:30 pm, no one told me about any time limit for tables the entire week before I booked. All of a sudden as we are being SAT we are told this information and when we would have to be “out” an hour and some odd minutes later?
It was all a super unprofessional experience and we left after a round of drinks that took 1 hour to be served to everyone.
I honestly felt SO embarrassed as my party was uncomfortable, annoyed, and talking bad about how things were going down. It was a birthday dinner to which we didn’t even have dinner, had to get up and leave, and go elsewhere.
COMPLETELY put a damper on the night and it was hard to enjoy when so much from the establishment was going on, to where we had to scramble to find another place as this “reservation” was not reliable.
If you book a reservation and want it accommodated and actually confirmed do not go here. I even thought at one point they had no idea we were coming and was going to tell us we had to leave all together.

As a visitor to Vancouver, I was initially drawn to Karma by its charming vine decor. My experience was marred by the unsettling behavior of a man, presumably the owner, who was openly ogling female patrons and being inappropriately touchy, definitely a superior complex. This was particularly concerning given the young age of many of the servers, myself and my group noticed it very quickly.

Despite this discomfort, I commend our servers Hailey and Nicola, who were absolutely amazing and provided excellent service!

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Especially the lady manager who showed us to our table when we walked in.

We ordered the kanpachi aburi. As a Korean living in Korea, I know my raw seafood. In a town that doesn't actually do sushis and sashimis that well, Karma hits the spot. Presentation was also beautiful.
Would definitely come back next time I'm in Vancouver.
