There was a band playing today called Billy Dixon and the soul train. I believe! They were amazing!!
The vibe in the place was so fun. People were smiling, dancing, clapping and singing.
We went early so we could have lunch. I had the two-piece fish and chips. Oh my goodness there was so much food that I brought it home for dinner. It had light batter, a large chunk of fish with tartar sauce. The coleslaw was fresh and tasted homemade. Our first server was helpful in recommending dishes to me as I had a hard time choosing. My friends. Both had the Cobb salad which looked amazing and was equally as large as my fish and chips. I will definitely go to this place again.

We originally planned to visit another coffee shop today, but we stumbled upon this new café by chance. Although its exterior wasn’t particularly eye-catching, curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to take a look inside. Once I glanced at the menu, I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of breakfast options. I asked if they offered alternatives to white toast, and, as luck would have it, the chef happened to be nearby. He informed me that I could choose whole grain bread or rye. That immediately won me over, so we decided to stay and try their coffee and breakfast.
The interior didn’t have the sleek, modern design typical of most cafés nowadays, but it had a spacious and unique charm. The front half is a coffee shop, while the upper section transitions into a pub. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, which made the experience even better.
We ordered an espresso and two breakfasts: Breakfast at Bimini’s and Avocado Toast & Poached Eggs. I also asked if she could add a little almond milk to my coffee, and the server generously brought me an entire small cup of almond milk—such a thoughtful touch!
The breakfasts arrived quickly, and we were amazed by the generous portions. The rye toast was topped with creamy avocado, two perfectly poached eggs, and fresh arugula. On the side, there was a bowl of salad made with exceptionally fresh greens and beautifully presented fruit that was both sweet and refreshing. The combination was not only visually stunning but also filling and nutritious. Honestly, this might just be the most extravagant avocado toast in all of Vancouver—truly incredible value for the price.
The coffee was equally delightful, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. This is a place I’ll definitely recommend to friends, and I can’t wait to come back!

Bimini Changed ownership again as of June 2025 I noticed this. Great staff. Manager (SAM) is someone that I would employ. Very attentive and helpful. SUPER KIND!! We will come back just because of him. Food menu has changed to a beautiful varying choice of different country foods. The downstairs has a Café which is light and airy and welcoming. They have a billiards table along with 2 Original DARTS Boards. Not electronic darts. The original is always the best. I go here during the late afternoon/evening and you are always able to play pool and darts. This is now my favorite little get away to chill in my home area of Kitsilano. Plus an entire bottle of wine is $45. Good pricing. They also play hockey games, basketball, football annnnnd UFC! They have an HUGE Screen that plays these events (projector). 3 levels. An attractive gas fireplace on the third floor. One flight of stairs per floor, so you won't get tired getting up there. You will enjoy this place. Nice people and patrons.

Great time at Bimini's! They accommodated our special request to book out their mezzanine level for 50+ people for a joint birthday party, with a very reasonable deposit, and allowed us to decorate the place, bring in birthday cake, and have a mini karaoke corner using our own portable system with a laptop mirrored to one of their TVs as the karaoke screen. Service and food were great as well! We ordered a few rounds of appies for the group, and everyone purchases their own drinks and could order additional food as needed. Sam the manager was very good at checking in to ensure all was going well throughout the evening. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great special event space. Thanks again Bimini's and we will be back!

They did a great job with the renovations, and I really enjoy the different vibes each floor has. Floor one: cafe with book shelf, quite cozy. Floor two: Good for watching sports and dancing at night. Floor three: has a fireplace. Nice for sit-down brunch. There is also a patio out front, which is nice.

My wife & I decided to pop in today for a happy hour snack & drink. Don’t be fooled by the “deals” like we were. Bland frozen food for appetizers, disgusting margarita and mediocre beer selection. Our waitress also couldn’t remember a simple request for water. Plus she was the one who made the margarita and she needs to be better trained. We asked for a single on the margarita because we had the car and when we got the bill and we were charged for a double.

Had a great time at this bar! The place was fun, the music was good, and the drinks were awesome. Shoutout to Pearson, the bartender — super friendly, quick, and made the best drinks all night. He really made the night better. If you go, definitely sit at the bar and ask for Pearson!
