Amazing experience. Spa is located in the Robinson building, eighth floor. I booked last min for scalp massage treatment with mini facial and will definitely be back. My curly frizzy hair was smooth and beautiful, I purchased the shampoo and treatment. Everything was explained and I was very relaxed throughout the session. A great end to my holiday.

My second time at Gokan, and they are equally as amazing 🙂 I went for an head spa treatment with Kana and she was amazing and professional and very personable ! She walked me through the steps of our treatment today in detail and actively asked for my concerns regarding my scalp & hair. I felt well taken care of and enjoyed my time at Gokan immensely. The treatment was relaxing and the scents in their space were very calming 🙂 Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a head spa treatment. They also have a room with two beds if you’re looking for a couples or friends date activity !!

Kana was the absolute sweetest. I went for the head spa and a facial course and it was such a great, relaxing experience. I came to Vancouver for the weekend looking for something relaxing and have always wanted to try the head spa. Kana was very professional, knowledgeable, and walked through the entire treatment with me, she was soft spoken and did a great massage. If you’re looking for something relaxing and beneficial definitely hit up Gokan! My scalp and hair feel incredible after.

I had a very good experience at Gokan Head Spa. I booked the Signature Head Spa, which was quite relaxing and left me feeling refreshed. My hair felt smooth afterwards and my perpetually dry and damaged ends felt noticeably softer. Kana, who gave me my head spa treatment, recommended a pre-blowout treatment that would suit my hair type, which I'm excited to try because I blow out my hair weekly. Kana answered all my questions well and made the experience even more pleasant. This was a great activity to do during my holiday, and I'll definitely do it again when I'm back in Vancouver!

Went here this weekend with my hubs for a post-wedding spa date. We both did the head spa and I got the Milbon smoothing treatment. Not only does my scalp and hair feel amazing, the whole experience was amazing. I was so relaxed and loved every minute of it. We had private rooms, the aromatherapy was perfect, and the vibes were lovely. We had head, ear, forehead, and shoulder massages and they used also sorts of fun tools that felt amazing. Both our technicians were so kind and attentive, ensuring temperature and pressure were perfect and that we felt comfortable. And I am a control freak about my hair and honestly, it's never felt so soft and my scalp has never looked so clean and healthy. 10/10! Now that we know this exists, it'll be something we do a few times a year i think.

Went for my first-ever Japanese head spa and was impressed by my experience at Gokan. Mariko was accommodating and welcoming, explaining all procedures before we began. The scalp massage was very relaxing - I felt the tension wash away through the various techniques used, and would definitely recommend this as a stress-reliever! Throughout the 90-minute session, I felt well-cared for, and my head and hair seemed so much lighter after the treatment. Even the next day, my hair still retained the effects of the spa. Thank you!

I decided to try this hair spa after seeing it on Instagram. My friend and I wanted to go together, so I emailed in advance to ask if we could have our treatments at the same time. A staff member confirmed, saying they had two head spa beds in separate private rooms and could accommodate two people simultaneously. Based on this, I booked for both of us.

When we arrived, we were handed a "menu." The first part mentioned a consultation, but there wasn’t an actual consultation—just a brief explanation of the process. There was also a scent selection sheet, but I think having actual scent samples to smell would greatly enhance the experience.

They asked us about our hair concerns and then guided us to our rooms—but we were placed in separate private rooms. This was a bit disappointing, as we had expected to be together based on the earlier communication.

During the treatment, I noticed that the towels used had a musty smell. While the chosen scent and shampoo masked it a bit, it was still noticeable at times. That said, the scalp massage and treatment itself were relaxing and decent overall.
