Was referred to this clinic by Alberta Health Services, because they had female doctors. After sending in a registration for my family it took almost a month for them to get back to me for an appointment. After another 2-3 weeks waiting for the appointment they sent me a notice that a male nurse would be doing our intake. I called and they said they no longer have any female doctors at their clinic. Very disappointing. I have multiple health issues and have been patient trying to find a female family doctor, only for them to leave the clinic before my intake.

Their front end staff were also interruptive, and dismissive.

Been a patient at this clinic for a few years now.... however it's almost impossible it seems like to really see anyone. They always seem to be "short providers this week". When you try to call to make an appointment, don't follow the hours that it states online as they seem to constantly change whenever they feel like, and you can never seem to get through the phone line till hours later to even make an appointment.

Definitely far from reliable as patients with medical conditions require care sooner than a month away...

Great experience at Apollo Health Clinic. The doctor and staff are professional and polite, and the clinic itself is very clean and well-maintained. I’ve seen some people come in with unrealistic expectations and act out, but it’s important to remember this is a walk-in clinic — wait times can happen. The staff doesn’t deserve to be treated poorly for that. Overall, I’ve always received good care here and appreciate the service they provide to the community.

An interesting experience. Kind of strange when a clinic markets itself as a walk-in facility online, only to express visible irritation when someone takes that at face value and, you know, walks in. If you’re going to display that much attitude over people following the information you put online, it might be time to update the website to reflect reality. Just a thought.

The front desk staff seem to have adopted a unique customer service philosophy: treating every patient as though they’re an inconvenience who should’ve known better than to seek care. It's not a great first impression, unless the goal is to lower expectations immediately.

As for the physician, I wasn’t aware that visibly ill patients in need of a doctor’s note required a dramatic performance. I’m not sure what was more unsettling: the dismissiveness of my symptoms or the fact that the doctor chose to speak to me like I was a confused toddler. I would assume that if someone is clearly sick, on antibiotics, and asking for a note for one day off of work, the situation calls for basic empathy, not judgment and infantilizing commentary.

Also worth noting: the price of said note is surprisingly steep, especially given how reluctant they are to issue one. If you're going to charge that much for a sheet of paper, the experience surrounding it should at least resemble competent care.

Overall, this clinic might benefit from re-evaluating how they communicate with patients . Clarity, professionalism, and a minimum level of respect shouldn't be too much to ask from a healthcare provider.

I appreciate this clinic's admin staff and its doctors. The front desk staff are helpful and direct, which I like.
I just wish my family doctor never took vacation (the nerve of him! 😊).

The dr I see here is wonderful so I didn’t want to make a review, however since she’s moving clinics I now feel comfortable doing so.
I made an appointment to have a PAP test and some other simple tests done and had to reschedule, my appointment was at 3pm (i work until 2 every day) the receptionist told me I couldn’t book after 12pm and no appointments for PAPs are taken that late. I informed her I had an appointment for it at 3 already, and she wouldn’t reschedule me. I told her just to put in the appointment for every other test minus my pap as the dr said I could get it done a different day and the receptionist rudely said “when you can book a day off work call me back but your dr is going to do this test” I called back immediately and talked to the other receptionist and she had me in the next day at 2:30.

Extremely frustrating that you cannot get ahold of anyone. I was called at 8:30am asking to reschedule my appointment (clinic doesn’t open till 9am). I called back 10 times and not once was I able to get ahold of the clinic. I immediately drove from out of town to be told they are closed today… there’s absolutely no way to get into contact with them when they turn the phones off.

I found this centre while dealing with the aftermath of a catastrophic work injury that lead to diagnosis of a chronic condition --- the professional I see here is thorough, actively pursues referrals for specialists where needed, ALWAYS follows up ---- has a " whole health" approach ... ie recognizes the mental health and other very personal challenges associated with chronic pain and encourages responsible self care and accountability while providing resources where needed ... a genuine CARE provider .... the best Healthcare provider ive ever had ( 47 year old patient )
