This is the first time I've gotten exactly what I wanted after getting my hair coloured! The highlights matched my colour palette very well (not too warm or cool) and blended seamlessly with my natural hair.

The salon itself was calm and comfortable compared to other places I've been to which I appreciated (and her dog, Joy, was really cute).

Sofia was so kind and consistently checked in on me. You can tell she genuinely cares about making sure her clients get the best results for them. I would definitely recommend.

As a licensed hairstylist myself, I left this home salon in literal tears. I asked for a classic, one-length bob with no layers and a slight angle in the front. I brought clear reference photos. What I received was one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had.

She used thinning shears—on my already fine, straight hair—despite my clear instructions to avoid layers or texturizing. My ends are now shredded, thin, and uneven. The shape is inconsistent from one side to the other, with no angle in the front and no clean weight line—just weight gone.

I booked this appointment expecting Sophia to do my hair, not an untrained assistant. But she had double-booked herself and passed me off to someone who couldn’t even properly blow dry or hold a curling iron—and who burned me during the service.

Then, while I was simply walking over to pay, her unrestrained Pomeranian bit me on the finger. That was the final straw in what was already an unprofessional, chaotic, and frankly dangerous experience.

Between the poor technical work, the disorganized setup, the burn, and the dog bite, I’m left with damaged hair, physical injury, and months of growing out someone else’s mistakes. I would never treat a client the way I was treated here.

If you care about your hair, your safety, or your basic dignity—go somewhere else.

It's the best experience I've ever had in Canada. For the past 25 years, my hair has been dyed dark, but Sofia did an amazing job integrating my grey hair while adding highlights to make it stand out. Highly recommended! 10 out 10

I had a wonderful experience at Sofia Salon & Spa! The service is consistently excellent — every visit I get exactly what I’m looking for. Sofia is a true professional in her field, and both she and her assistant are always so friendly and gentle. And I can’t forget little Joy — the sweetest tiny mascot of the salon who makes every visit even more special! I will definitely keep coming back again and again. Highly recommend!

Sofia is one of the very few people I’ve met who really know how to deal with my textured hair. I’ve gone to her to get my highlights done a few times now and she never fails to amaze me. Aside from being great at her job, I really feel comfortable in her chair because I know I’ve made a friend. I’m usually pretty shy and scared to speak up when receiving a service - of any kind, but Sofia really cares to make her clients happy and has been extremely accommodating. Not to mention, the products she uses and has for sale in her salon really are top notch. I’ve been using a collagen mask I bought from her, and it’s amazing.
