From Tuesday, February 4th-Sunday, February 9th, this was the location for the Boston Pizza Cup/Alberta Tankard, the province's provincial playdown for the Brier (February 28 – March 9 2025 Prospera Place, Kelowna, British Columbia.

Spectators were treated to some fine curling all week! Kevin Koe captured his ninth provincial title, that was also a second for third, Aaron Sluchinksi, who won it the previous season.

The event was also covered on livestream, so those of us who were a bit too far from the action were able to take in all the action. The venue and the event's staff and volunteers did a great job!

It was a good sized recreation center, it wasn't too large (some are just ridiculous) and it wasn't so small that there weren't any businesses worth checking out. The concession there was pretty good, although I expected them to be open earlier with all the games that were going on, the result being a large lineup when they finally did open, everyone scrambling to get coffee.

The rink was decent with good seating and the views weren't bad. The actual Bleacher seats were a bit more uncomfortable than most arenas, so bring a pad if you're going here.

There is a free library (it's a small stand at the base of the stairs with some books in it), good for kids who want to read during the games.

The amount of things labeled in this gym is absalutly hilarious🤣

I argue that the black mats should be stored on the wall directly adjacent to the red box's in the free weight area, because where they are currently you constantly are walking infront of people's workouts.

While going to college, I would use the library here for a quiet comfy place to study. My girlfriend and I would use the arenas during winter for free skating time. We also love using the pool and hot tub after using the gym.
