First time I ever ate on this branch, my husband and I were so clueless on what to order but the server which Is I believe Filipina was AMAZING!! I forgot her name but she was a great server , offer options for us and food came so fast! We order breakfast special and I really enjoyed it! We are from saskatoon but next I get lost in Taber I will definitely come back here! Awesome!!

Service is not great, it seems like they’re always short staffed. Foods good if you order the right things and the whole restaurant is extremely outdated. Seems like the owners or management needs improvement.

UPDATE:
I came back because I wanted a breakfast place and Taber has no others, I was happy to see the service improved quite a bit, they had 3 waitresses and the food came out of the kitchen pretty consistently and our wait wasn’t as long this time, still took a while but an acceptable amount of time, our food was all fantastic and I’ll probably come back more frequently if this keeps up. It is still incredibly outdated but it is what it is. The only thing I was disappointed by was the chocolate milk I ordered, it was not really cold and extremely overpriced at $4.50 for a medium sized cup. Still very happy to see the staff a service improvement’s because food and service are the main reasons for me to come back.

We came to town for the Southern Alberta Summer Games, and this was an absolute disappointment.

We waited over an hour for our food. There were flies everywhere, the bathroom was disgusting, and the whole place felt unclean and poorly managed. When the food finally showed up, the wings looked gross, and nothing tasted fresh.

Our server didn’t care at all—no refills, no check-ins, nothing.
Not worth paying a cent for this kind of experience.

A shoddy, poorly run place that wasted our time and left a terrible impression. Get it together, management—this gives Smitty’s a bad name. Very gross, dirty, badly run place!

Just stopped in en route from Lethbridge to Medicine Hat for a pee, but I will NEVER eat at this location! If it hadn't been an emergency, I wouldn't have even peed. The women's washroom was disgusting, one toilet even had a sign on it stating that it was closed for cleaning, one was loaded with feces, all had gross beige residue on the outside of the bowls.

The accessible stall was the only remotely clean unit, but the changing station that folds down over the toilet looked like something had been spilled on it. I just hoped it wasn't some kid's diarrhea.

The restaurant was ok. $80 for a dinner of 2 adults and 2 children so a bit on the pricey side. It is attached to the gas station so they both use the same bathroom and it was disgusting.
