My husband and I came here to begin our day exploring Bancroft. The place is super cute and lovely. The staff were very kind. We absolutely loved our meals. My husband had the great Canadian and I had the Maple Ham n' Swiss. We loved the lil side option of bean medley. The meals were perfect portioned and unique. I loved the Canadian flag on top!

Overall a great experience 4.5.
We came on a rainy day and lucked out on a table for 4. Everyone ordered sandwiches and they were all delicious. The chicken pesto was moist and not overwhelming, the Ruben was full and flavourful and the grilled cheese, albeit standard, was liked by the kids as it had different cheeses. Service was pretty good despite the busy lunch time rush. Although I saw many tourists, I also saw many locals coming in to greet the familiar hosts.

Went in to order 2 pizzas to go today. One was a margarita and the other a meat lovers. I seen a pizza that was sitting beside the oven that looked burnt after handing them my receipt I was handed a pizza in the box and then sat and waited for the other one. That had me waiting another 25 minutes, yet pizzas were coming out of the oven and going to tables. Finally I was handed the second pizza and asked how do I eat these now when one is hot and the other not so hot now. No response received.
I wish I looked at them before I left the restaurant. Burnt, undercooked dough. I believe I was given the pie that I first seen sitting there. Pizza was burnt and tasteless. This doesn’t look anything like the pizza pictures advertised on the Facebook page. Will not waste my money on these wood oven pizzas again. I really love pizza, however this was brutal My Wife was disappointed as well. . Went directly into the rubbish bin.

The place is so cute! Too bad the food isn’t good and the staff are rude. Had a blackberry and Brie sandwich, blackberries tasted like tomatoes? Disgusting. Friend had a pesto chicken sandwich that didn’t have pesto. Would not recommend. Much better places in Bancroft to eat. 🙂

One of the coziest and coolest local cafes I’ve ever been 😊 we arrived before their closing time and they accommodate us kindly. I’ve ordered the tomato basil soup and it was one of the best soups ever. The Swiss and ham panini was also tasty. Emma helped us taking our order, she was welcome and sweet. Can’t wait to come back here again in summer time.

Such a lovely little cafe! Very pleased to find gluten-free and alternative dairy options on their menu. I ordered a Reuben on gluten-free bread with dairy-free (vegan) cheese and it was delicious, with a very generous portion size! My kids always enjoy getting the giant chocolate chip cookies after a visit to the nearby playground. A local gem!

The prettiest cafe in town. Lovely cosy vibes and pleasing decor for Valentine’s. We loved salad and coffee here. Desserts are worth trying too…

I stopped in at the Wattle & Daub today on a rainy afternoon and was delighted by the warm and inviting atmosphere and the overall vibe of the place! Dimly lit, with fairy lights and jazz music. The perfect vibe for an afternoon lunch in town.
I got an interesting french onion and swiss panini and my partner, a canadian grilled cheese, served warm and crispy with a side salad option.
The warm Chai Latte was incredible!!
