Amazing experience! Sarah, our server, was excellent, friendly and attentive. The chicken sandwich was the best I’ve had in a long time. It was very crispy and full of flavor.
Great portions, fair prices, and very clean with a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Bancroft.

Will state the good, this place has the most amazingly cooked friend chicken of your life. Had the sandwich and tenders, both were elite.

The bad, two part

1) The staff was uncomfortable in how uninterested and down right miserable they were. We wait nearly 20 minutes for a small order and they all looked like they hated life, were short with people, all in contrast to the countless hand made signs and menus

2) This had to be the blandest food I have ever had, the breading has zero flavour, the fries were unsalted, the honey chicken sandwich was just mayo.

I would go back to see if it was just an off day because wow was that chicken fried perfectly, just wish they made less signs and more flavour based decisions

What an amazing experience! The service from Sarah was impeccable, she is such a sweet and nice lady! The food was hot, fresh and delicious!!! We ordered chicken, popcorn chicken, chicken strips, fries and coleslaw and everything we ate was very good! If I lived closer I would probably be there every week, sadly it's a 2.5 hour drive....I wonder if they would deliver to Toronto lol

Update: I went back and had the Northern Chicken Burger. It was a really tasty big piece of chicken on a very nice bun. My partner had a regular beef burger and he liked it too.

What a let down! I went there for takeout on May 11th, and ordered 10 chicken breast strips called "Mega Strips" on the menu, pictured in a big bucket. What I got was absurd. The pieces were finger-thin and there was more breading than meat. The small takeout container was only half-full. For $30.00! Not enough food for even 1 person. By comparison, the Independent Grocer in Haliburton sells a pack of 10 hot ready-made BIG chicken breast pieces for $16. I feel very ripped-off.

Just eating a 3 piece meal from here and my daughter is having a hamburger kids meal. The food is hot and fresh, the fries are delicious! Nice and crispy. The lady at the front counter was super nice. Everything was packed well with lots of condiments and napkins. The restaurant was very organized and meticulously cleaned. The price was very good. It came to $24 for both meals (included pop). I highly recommend and we will be back!

Sarah R gave us amazing service. She helped us with the menu and made sure we didn’t need anything else for our meal. Our food was delicious. I had the Buffalo Chicken Burger and my husband had the Northern Chicken Burger. The fries were perfect too. Great experience. We will definitely be back.

I was really sad to see that online Dixie Lee's was closed but when I got into town I saw the sign for NFC and was hoping it was just a rebrand, I was very excited to find it was still the same soul of the restaurant was still there.

I had the chicken wrap and my girlfriend had the popcorn chicken poutine, we both were very happy with our meals and the fries stays the same, perfectly crispy. The prices are also lower now that they are independent. And the staff is just as friendly.

The only very minor issue I found was some of the seats in the booths are a little loose and you can feel it wobble when your sitting

Glad I stopped in. I nearly didn’t, thinking it might just be like the previous establishment. However, every thing was a pleasant surprise. Great fried chicken!. Excellent service. Went with my family. Prices reasonable as well. Will be a regular stop when in Bancroft for us.
