Ce b&b vaut le détour. Déjà par l'histoire de cette bâtisse rouge incroyable : elle fut la première maison construite à Prince Rupert ! Et sa situation géographique est juste magique (prenez la chambre avec la vue sur la baie !)|Bâtisse historique oui ... Remplie de bibelots d'un autre siècle. Mais c'est à l'image de Coleen la maîtresse des lieux! Accueil très chaleureux comme un membre de la famille ! Le petit déjeuner est extra. Tout est fait maison et avec beaucoup d'amour. Moments d'échanges comme on en attend dans un b&b... Avec un petit plus : le concert-spectacle d'humour au tour d'Edith Piaf ! Pour nous, français ce fut une vraie surprise. C'est un moment hors du temps qui ne peut laisser indifférent !|Pour le côté pratique : wifi gratuite et très performante, salle de bains a partager -il faut le savoir-

Une maison d'hôtes tenue par un personnage extraordinaire , ancienne chanteuse, coiffeuse et fan d'Edith PIAF. Elle vous fera le spectacle le matin autour d'un petit déjeuner copieux et raffiné.||Le cadres est un peu désuet et kitch mais on est loin de tout.....||Pour les amateurs il y a un casino juste à coté.||Vue sur la mer

C'est LA demeure historique de Prince Rupert entre Hitchkock et Vieilles dentelles dominant la baie.Petits déjeuners pantagruéliques,literie correcte,et même dans la chambre donnant sur la mer,la meilleure,frigo et télévision..Mais il faut partager la salle de bains décatie..Mais les "souvenirs historiques"(?) sont d'un goût poussiereux/douteux, kitch as kitch can,un capharnaüm où se mêle le linge sale avec des bibelots improbables,on ne sait où poser ses propres affaires de peur de les voir disparaître dans le reste,etc...La propriétaire, agée,sympathique et tête légère est aux petits soins mais a oublié de balayer depuis des semaines... Mais,mais...lorsqu'elle vous impose au petit déjeuner son récital Edith Piaf "arrangé",alors courage fuyons...D'autres y trouveront de "l'atmosphère" ou un charme vieillot...C'est le problème de la bouteille, à moitié vide...

Our train was 4 hours late getting in -It was 1:30 am- the hostess was waiting for us to arrive. Colleen welcomed us with open arms. She showed us our room, explained the amenities and wished us a good night's sleep. What a comfortable bed! Beautiful view from our room. Super breakfast in the morning. Suggested places to walk to for sight-seeing, shopping. The Guest House is a combination museum, hair salon, and the first ever built house in Prince Rupert. The house displays many beautiful paintings, antique furniture and super entertainment by the hostess. She is a beautiful singer and entertainer as well as a lovely cook. All and all a very enjoyable one night stay. Would stay there again given the chance.

Our train was a few hours late getting into Prince Rupert, but our hostess Colleen welcomed us cheerfully and showed us into our delightful room. After our 15 hour day on the train, we slept well and were allowed to choose a later breakfast. Breakfast was a 3 course meal with entertaining conversation, a lasting impression, and a desire to return someday and stay longer! And so, our first impressions of Prince Rupert were made by a wonderful, knowledgeable lady in a wonderfully historic house. It does Prince Rupert proud to have such an interesting setting available to visitors to their city. Thank you!

We had a very comfortable room in this historic house. The bathroom is shared with 2 other guestrooms, but has an amazing view. The hostess accommodates late arrival/early start for the ferry. She provides a full and very substantial delicious breakfast, with lots of interesting information about the history of the house AND a performance of Edith Piaf songs ….. a memorable moment amongst all the wonders of our Canadian trip.

We just loved this place. It's an old house but very clean and one that you feel at home in as soon as you enter. Beautiful location with an amazing view of the harbour and an easy walk to all of downtown. The breakfast is absolutely amazing with three courses: fruit salad - a delicious baked egg/cheese/ham tortilla - and delicious French crepes with all the trimmings. But the best part of staying at this house is the hostess. She's pretty much the most endearing person ever and treated us with her performance of some Edith Piaf favourites. She really has the most beautiful voice. This place is a refreshing change from the stuffy atmosphere in a lot of accommodations and we would recommend.”

This was the bed and breakfast we stayed in. The Pillsbury Guest House. Our hostess, Colleen McGillicuddy McLaren was fabulous. This was our first stay in a B&B and Colleen made it memorable. From our first morning of a 3 course breakfast, to the history of the Pillsbury House and Prince Rupert , to the entertainment Colleen provided which included singing three Edith Piaf songs, all helped to make this our best trip ever. Colleen has a beautiful voice and is a fantastic cook. We hope to go back next year.
