This Inn is the perfect place for coming off the west coast trail or taking in a fishing adventure. We spent 5 nights here after our regular spot cancelled us due to the Underwood fire and did not have a generator capable of hosting too many. The Bamfield Inn has been renovated and does have a commercial generator which saved out fishing trip. The staff was most accommodating and responsive to our fishing needs and I have to say it’s the nicest resort in Bamfield for comfort, location and lodging. Every little detail from the towels, decor, cleanliness and friendly staff made it feel like paradise in a remote part of Vancouver island. I am sure over time, it will be difficult to get a reservation, so book early. It’s a perfect place for a 3 night stay or corporate retreat. I love that Gill, the owner is “hands on” and helped build the place.. literally! Talented and hard working. Certainly worth a trip to this magical location.

Our stay at the Bamfield Inn was wonderful. The accommodations were very clean and modern. The staff was very helpful in making sure we were settled in nicely with our one year old. We loved the common room were we could all get together and relax and cook our meals. The food at Flora’s was first class. We enjoyed a lovely meal outside on their deck. Bamfield is a very special place for us and Flora’s Bamfield has made it an extra special place for our family to come back to. See you next year. Hope the fish are still biting.

We went for a gal’s weekend recently and had such an amazing time! The rooms were very clean, the restaurant was the star of the show with creative cocktails, natural wines and amazing tasting food. The location was top notch, right off the water. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Such a lovely, restful weekend. Would definitely recommend this place to Bamfield visitors. Nice merch too, if that’s your thing.

We came to Bamfield for a night as we were fishing. We had no reservations but stopped in at the Bamfield inn where we met Gill. We were shown the rooms above the floras restaurant that are re-modelled and super cozy and nice!
We had a wonderful stay minus the weather! The deck is amazing and the food at floras was great, along with the service! We look forward to retuning in the future! Thanks for the beautiful place to stay 🌻

The hotel was fantastic. The staff were out of this world. Clean rooms some with wonderful views. Flora's restaurant was a real surprise. The quality of the food and service was like a 1st Class restaurant in NYC! The 6 of us stayed for 2 nights and I can confirm, every thing on the menu was truly outstanding. EAT there even if you're not going to stay there.

An amazing location with spectacular views and located right beside the dock for the boat to Port Alberni. The food at Flora's is amazing (but a shame they don't do breakfast/brunch).

We stayed in the motel and it was very disappointing. Though the rooms are small, they're clean. But it was really noisy - lots of noise from the common room and if people wake up early to go fishing (they did - at 5am!), you hear everything. So it's difficult to get a good night sleep. I guess it's an old building and there's not much that can be done about it, but if you're a light sleeper it will definitely be a problem. The bedding felt like low quality polyester and the shampoo/conditioner etc was cheap. There's no reception desk and cell reception is bad so it's hard to get ahold of anyone (especially because email check-in instructions clearly state that you should avoid disrupting the restaurant). Finally, disliked the early the check-out time (10am) and they charge an hourly fee for extensions.

Even though it's just a motel room, expected more for a room that costs $250/night plus tax - felt like poor value for the experience.

Bamfield und das Flora’s Stays ist eine Reise wert. Das Flora’s Stays liegt direkt an der Anlegestelle der Lady Rose von Port Alberni.
Das 100 Jahre alte Haus ist komplett renoviert, alles in eigener Hand gezimmert, gemalert. Das alles mit so viel Liebe, das fühlt man, wenn man hier wohnt. Ein traumhafter Blick aus dem Zimmer, direkt auf den Hafen. Nebenan die Coat Guard.
Die Zimmer sind wunderschön, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, sehr sauber. Alles perfekt. Ein perfekter Platz - zum verlieben. Man will hier nicht mehr weg. Das Restaurant ist genau so excellent. Super lecker Essen, sehr große Auswahl an lokalen Gins. Wirklich ein Traum.

The entire experience was excellent! So much detail put into the "esque" of the place. Beds are comfy, sheets are soft, pillows are dense but soft (good quality pillows) and bathrooms supplied with plush towels, which I really appreciate - I hate flat stiff thin towels - and I loved the theme they kept with everything they provided. Accommodating, responsive staff. A $10 water taxi to get here (cash), but probably the best accomodations you will find here, especially if it's unprompt and you're looking for a place to stay and eat. There's only 2 restaurants available and the restaurant is open quite late, helpful if hiking plans go later than expected.
