Pretty good wings. They're not fully breaded but they do have a coating. I prefer mine naked. Great sauce though. Wing night, you buy in 5s. I went for 20 and it was too much. 15 would be enough.

During Hfx Burger Bash, we went to Dave Doolittle's for the featured burger. We each ordered one and added a side of fried as the burger was alacarte. My son and I also had a drink from the bar. The burgers were good, homemade patty, not a great one, but it was moist, and the bourbon jam was really tasty. The burger was a little small but good non the less. The fries were fine, but they were the frozen, coated fries with the crisp coating that isn't crispy.
The atmosphere was crap but it's an old rundown bar, so what are you gonna do. Anyway, the weird part was, when the burgers came my son was presented his burger, and I got a plate with two burgers placed in front of me with the side of fries in the middle. This would be fine if there were only two people at the table, but my wife, who also offered a burger was relegated to eat from the plate in front of me. I asked for a plate for my wife before the server left, who promptly returned with one.
I didn't give this establishment a high rating, but it was what I expected. It's just not different than any other neighborhood joint, which is not a bad thing, I guess.

The wings and burgers are standouts, and the local beer selection is always rotating with great picks.

Service is usually friendly and attentive, though it can get a bit slow when the place is busy—which is often, for good reason. The atmosphere is casual and lively, perfect for catching a game or winding down with friends.

One star off just for the occasional wait times, but overall, this is a solid go-to spot. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Went for Father's Day brunch. They were understaffed as they had not been expecting a big rush. Even the bartender was waiting tables. Long wait to be served but we had anticipated they would be busy. The food was great only draw back was that the suage was deep fried. Opted for breakfast from menu over buffet as I can not eat enough to justify $21.99. Enjoyed the food and will go back.

Depends on what you enjoy for atmosphere..its a light hearted bar with food options and smaller sections allowing me privacy as well. Its noisy tho as most are in larger settings that wernt designed with sound in mind

Dave's is an excellent place to enjoy a Saturday night! The bands are amazing usually have 5 to 6 musicians. In the band.

Ordered one piece fish and chips. Fish was not cooked, batter thick and mushy in the middle. Lighting was terrible very dark. Asked to have lights turned on, that didn't happen. Don't expect I will return anytime soon.
