Might have had the best cappuccino of my life at Cottage Cafe today. I don't want to sound negative, life may have a better one in store for me, and we don't need to compare everything. Have been coming here for years, and it might be my favourite place on earth. Here or home, both recommended highly. Staff are wonderful people with great personalities, which I'm always glad to see. You don't always get to see personalities at the big shops (I think they have policies). I get the scone. There's normally a selection of 3, but sometimes the bakers throw in a seasonal 4th and that is a really good day. See you here!

Absolute neighbourhood gem!

Coffee? Breakfast? Beautiful view? Cosy space during a rainy day? Cottage cafe got them all!

I got the breakfast sandwich, don’t be fooled by the simplicity of its look as it packs delicious flavours inside. I got an iced latte and it was also delicious! I was able to enjoy my treats in a sunny day In the patio that faces the lake-STUNNING! The service was fast, you order at the counter but they will bring your food to you if you’re sitting in. Many sitting options and parking available nearby! If you’re unlucky and don’t get a seat I recommend a stroll alongside the lake!

This place! Looks unassuming, but more than delivers. We’re foodies and we had the breakfast sandwich, the best we’ve ever had. The coffee, flat white, was local and excellent. It was hopping on a Saturday morning but the staff were all pleasant and working as a great team. The barista had an issue with one of our coffees so she tossed it and made a new one, commitment to quality. It’s most definitely worth a visit.

I read through a few negative reviews and do not understand them. I go out of my way to visit this spot. Their breakfast sandwhich is one of the best in the city; my iced lattes are perfect every time. The staff has been lovely every time. The atmosphere is so relaxing and inviting.

I ordered the breakfast sandwich, blueberry scones, pumpkin muffin and butter scotch roll. Food was delicious! Coffee was great!

That is my experience, and I express myself. Yours might be different.
The location is perfect 🥰 💞, there are lots of free parking 😀 😉.
Decorations and layout, require improvements. I was standing for some time before I realized 😳 that I was in the wrong spot to order. The coffee shop inside is medium-sized. Can fit small groups. I liked the outdoor spots.
Decorations from inside might be some but may not be for all.
Service is excellent, the employees are friendly and treated us 😀 👌 as they knew us. Friendly with a smile 😃. I liked it.
I hade the sandwich 🥪 breakfast 😋 it was good but nothing special.
Prices, I see the prices we paid for a coffee ☕️ and sandwich 🥪 as breakfast (for me is high).
It might be ok for others.

Absolutely amazing - reminder that locals love this place too, so be patient and friendly.

Amazing coffee, probably the best breakfast sandwich in the city, and likely the best quiche in Canada. Seriously. I mean I don't want to oversell but man. Simple, spiced, and delicious.

Outdoor patios which are amazing.

The only major problem is that when you're sitting outside you really only get a good view of parked cars. Blegh. But you're well away from the highway. I wish we'll get dedicated bike lanes one day and somehow group the parking away from the cafe.
