Je suis coeliaque et presque tout sur le menu est sans gluten. Cependant, un mercredi midi, nous avons attendu 1 heure pour une poutine et du poulet pané. La nourriture était froide et très sec. Vraiment trop cher pour la qualité. Vraiment triste puisque j'avais très hate d'y aller.

Service was very lacking the day we were there, but you could tell the nice fellow that served us was trying to juggle everything. We got our order to go and sat outside on the picnic table. The food was amazing! Fish, onion rings and deep fried pickles! Best of all it’s all gluten free! I was so excited!!! 🤩

Bit off the main road, but well worth the side trip. Little mom and pop diner with great down home charm and old world ambiance. Many of the patrons seated when we first entered were elders, which is a good sign because we know old folks recognize a place that has good value. During our time here, we spotted at least 2 truckers popping in for takeout (they know good food).

Food was exactly what I wanted. My lovely wife Pat left with takeout for later. It's definitely a 5 star diner as far as the value served.

This was the first time ordering from them and it certainly won’t be the last— everything is delicious! My spouse is on a 4-day rotation, so it’s just been me all weekend, and I was ravenous for a turkey dinner; they totally delivered. My only regret? Not ordering a second helping of the cranberry sauce… so fricken good!

Stopped into for an early supper on the way up province. The food is divine and this time was no exception. I had the chicken strips and fries and my husband had the Hogie and Onion Rings. Both were worth the stop out of our way.

However, this is the second time I've ordered chicken strips to go with the intention of freezing them, which I mention when I order them at the same time as my main. The first time they were very busy and had run out of chicken so they had to make new stuff. This was not explained so after my meal was eaten, I waited 35 mins for the take out.

Today, when I ordered I specifically asked for the chicken to be made when my meal was dropped off. Today, again the take out was not started until my meal was complete which required an additional waiting time which is very frustrating.

While the food is good and the staff are friendly, the service needs work.

Drove all the way from Ontario just to try Mary & Larry’s on recommendation from my son. Service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Huge portions made this busy little restaurant a win for the money. If I’m ever back in Truro it’s a guarantee I’ll go back. 🙂
