A nice, cool, zen-style library in a great location—perfect for focusing or just chilling. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, and decent resources (though occasionally limited). A few phone rooms are also available. There are some ambient sounds, but the noise level is comfortable—better than being completely silent.

Excellent space. Would love if you could introduce more private study rooms as there’s only the one so groups can collaborate effectively without worrying about being a nuisance to those around you. These could be placed and divided up in one of the giant host/seminar rooms. I’ve been going to this library for 5+ years and never once have I been able to use the pre-existing private rooms. Whiteboards would be a very cool edition, especially given the amount of students that come here, and bring back the cafe!!! Or a vending machine at least, you’d make so much money.

The Burlington Central Library is truly a gem in the heart of the city. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was welcomed by the warm and friendly staff who were always ready to assist. The library is well-organized, making it easy to find the books or resources I needed.

The library's collection is impressive, with a wide range of books, DVDs, and other resources catering to all ages and interests. Whether you're a student looking for academic resources, a professional seeking industry-specific literature, or a casual reader in search of a good novel, the Burlington Central Library has got you covered.

One of the standout features of this library is its quiet and comfortable reading areas. They provide a peaceful environment that's perfect for immersing oneself in a good book or focusing on work. The library also offers free Wi-Fi, which is a great advantage for those who need to stay connected.

The children's section is vibrant and engaging, filled with colorful books and interactive learning materials. It's clear that the library puts a lot of effort into fostering a love of reading in the younger generation.

In addition to its physical resources, the Burlington Central Library also offers a variety of programs and workshops. These events cater to a wide range of interests and provide a great opportunity for community engagement.

In conclusion, the Burlington Central Library is more than just a place to borrow books. It's a community hub, a center for learning, and a peaceful retreat in the middle of a bustling city. I highly recommend it to anyone in the Burlington area.

A very nice place to spend the day, but I think the tables need to be cleaned more regularly.

It was ok, barely any trees or shade it find anywhere. Playground has that cushiony asphalt stuff.. which gets hot in the sun.. there's a water fountain with a spot for the dog to drink from too... I mean stuff for kids to do.. drink.. and a bathroom close by if and when needed.. but definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go here

I had a terrible experience yesterday with one particular staff member; her rudeness towards me seemed almost personal. All stemming from just simply asking her to let the children in the play area know that they were closing so they can be promoted to leave just before closing. To top it off her body language when she saw me leaving was screaming aggression! To think that you serve the public and to have this behaviour is unacceptable!

Only giving 4 stars because i don't like one of the employee's attitude.

That said, the library is big & open. I won't even call it great because every library may be this quality and it wouldn't even be asking a lot. Three floors is not very big. Toronto has many, many 3-floor libraries. Some are are many as six. With a lot more square footage (like the 2 main resource libraries on Yonge Street).

Therefore while you should be expecting a fine experience remember this is *normal* and not anything we should let anybody convince us we don't deserve.

For example, the computer quantity is a bit lacking. This isn't exactly in a very walkable area, like downtown as it's in the middle of a giant park - but there's only like 10-20 computers and i think maybe more like 50-100 might be more appropriate i don't know i wouldn't want to come all the way here and not be able to use one because the city couldn't afford like $20,000-30,000 for 50 extra computers - which is nothing.

There is only 1 washroom on the 3rd floor and 1st floor. However, i believe there are two on the 2nd. Not bad. They only get cleaned once a day though. So when the garbage fills up - you will be throwing paper towels in the corner lol.

The scenery is about as perfect as one could hope as it is surrounded by a gorgeous park ripe with even a very large community garden... as well as multiple baseball diamonds, football pitches, children's playground, a hockey arena... you name it.

In case anyone is wondering... the computers are free when you simply request a guest pass.
