Apples and Quails has to be the best B&B in the Okanagan! This was my first time visiting the area and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. From the gorgeous gardens overlooking the lake to the comfortable room and amazing breakfasts that Walter prepared each day, my husband and I felt like we were in our own little piece of heaven. Thank you for making our long overdue getaway a special experience, we are both looking forward to our next visit. We will definitely return to Apples and Quails. Apples and Quails is a wonderful B&B with beautiful views of the lake. The large room and ensuite are beautifully appointed with everything that you could wish for a comfortable stay. Ming and Walter are great hosts. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the opportunity to chat and get to know them during our time with them. They made sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. Breakfasts were wonderful and there was always a tasty snack in the afternoon. The location and setting are very relaxing. We hope to return again.

We recently spent a wonderful family getaway at Apples and Quails Bed and Breakfast to celebrate our brother's 50th birthday. || ||We were welcomed with big smiles at the gorgeous home of Walter and Ming. The 5 of us, 4 sisters and the birthday boy enjoyed an entire floor, the Quail's Nest, the Country Blue and the livingroom. Each room was charming and beautifully decorated with lovely artwork and meticulous attention to every detail. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds and fine linens. The bathrooms featured inviting showers and tubs stocked with luxurious bath products created by Ming. Big picture windows and french doors opened to spectacular views of the gardens, mountain and lake. After we settled in, we enjoyed delightful homemade cherry clafoutis on the patio. Our first impression of Apples and Quails was perfection.|| ||Highlights of our breakfasts included chia pudding with strawberries and almonds, avocado toast with smoked salmon, red onion and tomato, phyllo egg nests with black forest ham and crepes with apples and cream cheese. Everything was presented so perfectly and tasted delicious and the view from the deck was breathtaking. What a lovely way to start our day.|| ||After a long day of wine tasting and sightseeing, coming back to relax on the veranda or to have a soak in the outdoor hot tub was a peaceful way to end the day. || ||We are so happy that we stayed at Apples and Quails and we will definitely be back. We both had the chance to stay at the Apples and Quails B&B for 2 nights. On our trip through BC and Alberta we stayed at some lovely locations. The Apple and Quails was one out of two of the best B&Bs. It' a fantastic house with wonderful and stylishly decorated very spacious guest rooms. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and it was a wonderful start into the day to sit outside on the balcony enjoying Ming's culinary skills. Ming and Walter, thanks that we could enjoy your home and cookery skills. Our stay in Summerland was one of the real highlights of our tour. ||||||||Wir beide hatten die Chance, in der Apple and Quails B & B Lodge für 2 Nächte zu blei||ben. Auf unserer Reise durch B.C. und Alberta verweilten an einigen schönen Orten. Apples and Quails war eins von zwei der besten B&Bs. Es ist ein traumhaftes Haus mit wunderbaren und stilvoll eingerichteten sehr geräumigen Gästezimmern. Das Frühstück war absolut köstlich und es war ein wunderbarer Start in den Tag draußen auf dem Balkon zu sitzen und Mings Kochkünste zu genießen. Ming und Walter, vielen Dank, dass wir euer Heim und die Kochkünste genießen durften. Unser Aufenthalt in Summerland war eines der echten Highlights unserer Tour.

Absolutely the cleanest, best maintained B&B, or hotel for that matter, that we have ever experienced. Our wonderful hosts, Ming and Walter are mindful of even the smallest detail. In the common areas there is so much local information and items for every possible need. The view from our room and deck look out across Okanagan Lake to the Naramata vineyards. The small but expertly landscaped garden is lovely for a short stroll or just to sit and enjoy the view with a glass of wine. The breakfasts were great with a wide choice from healthy to decadent. They even have their own excellent coffee blend. For fitness buffs the Giant's Head trail and road is nearby and provides a very accessible early morning or late afternoon run, walk or bike ride. The beautiful Summerland Research Station gardens are just a 10-minute drive away and well worth a visit. Ming and Walter are running the B&B because they enjoy doing it and not because they have to. Ming, being very energetic, has just developed a line of products which are being sold in local shops.

Love Apples & Quails!!! My husband and I have been going to Apples & Quails every summer for the past 9 years or so (we’ve missed two summers because of having babies). This place is our little piece of heaven (my husband actually proposed to me here!). The food is amazing, Walter & Ming are wonderful people and the B&B is beautiful inside and out, and has everything one would need. The lake view is gorgeous and the property is beautifully taken care of. I love every aspect of this place. There are separate entrances, treats are set out each evening and the jacuzzi hot tub adds a nice touch to the end of each day. We’ve actually introduced this B&B to friends of ours, and together (three couples) we’ve taken two amazing trips together while staying at Apples & Quails. Needless to say, I could not recommend this B&B enough.

We stayed at The Apples & Quails B&B for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our visit. The rooms were excellent with a great view over Summerland and the Okanagan Lake. Ming and Walter were very welcoming hosts and were a good source of information of the Okanagan area. Great location and very quiet. Great breakfasts to start every day. Entertaining watching the quails in the morning and evening stealing Walter's grapes !! We would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the Okanagan Valley

Hosts Walter & Ming have set the bar very high at their bed & breakfast. My husband & I spent four nights at Apples & Quails and were treated to the warmest of hospitality and an all round marvelous experience during our time there. The location is grand with it's impressive vista overlooking the lake both during the day or at night while enjoying a relaxing soak in the hot tub.||Baked goods & other treats such as dried apple slices are set out daily in the common room and there's a constant supply of bottled water, freshly ground coffee, as well as milk and cream in the fridge.||I had booked the Country Blue room and it as like an oasis with it's periwinkle walls and pretty decor. Our space was very well appointed with no want for anything. The bed was always made for us, the bathroom cleaned and fresh towels supplied daily. A teddy bear bearing a little dish with two chocolates was regularly placed among the pillows on the bed.||The grounds around the home are immaculately cared for with plantings everywhere in a mix of flowers, shrubs, herbs & apple trees. It was so nice to pick a spot in the back yard or on the porch & curl up in a comfy chair to just bask in the sun or read a book. Cute little quail signs here & there are perfectly indicative of the real birds that are regulars around the place.||And then there were the scrumptious & artistically presented breakfasts. Choices are given for beverages & breakfast items, and guests can select either a savory or sweet main. Each morning allows for a different pair of menu options which includes their signatures of 'Blossom Eggs' and 'Apple Crepes'. That delectable fare was an extra special treat on our last morning. My crepes were accompanied by a quail which Walter had carved out of an apple and finished off with sprigs of mint for it's crown & greens for the tail. How fitting!||And finally, we found Ming & Walter so helpful in recommending wineries and restaurants in the area. They were so personable that we felt like we had made new friends by the time we left. And of course, that included their adorable pooch, Gunnar. A return visit to Summerland would definitely warrant another stay at Apples & Quails and we can't sing it's praises nearly enough!
