portions are great, i ordered a 4pc tempura and the shrimp was massive! also the sashimi is really thick cut and the rolls were delicious and had so much toppings on top. everything was fresh and was ready in in 30mins, and was under 50 bucks!

Today amongst my long list of ordering from them, is just an average response. I’ve been ordering from shinobi since I’ve moved to ridge (14years ago). Moved to 240th over a year ago and had just then decided to give them another shot. Why? Because their costs went up with the whole Covid situation. I’ve had good sushi. I’ve had awful. I really never know when to order. I’ve complained a few times on skip so I almost wonder if they know that and make my order like they don’t care. I know their true standards. They can be really good. Insanely good. I moved from Coquitlam. Which my fave place was by Coq Centre (Nagano).
At this point my fiance and I just order off skip. Whenever my fiance who doesn’t complain about his lack of wow from them to make ordering from them worth it since their prices are so high, gets an order there’s a 90% chance it’s good. When I order it’s a 75% chance that it’s meh yet I still order cuz delivery is still cheaper LOL ( I don’t drive and have a 2 year old and a serious sushi addiction in hot or even cold weather lol). At the end of this post, I’d say it’s super inconsistent. I always order the same thing, for consistency really. Spicy maple ridge roll or chicken teryaki roll. Normally the spicy maple ridge roll is under sauced when I order it. Today it was yet again. Annoying. Because you pay for that sauce. But normally their prawn is so lacking or over cooked it’s not even in the roll like they say it is lol. But this time it was actually there .. the teriyaki roll? Missing the teriyaki drizzle they usually add. Or even more mayo to make the chicken stick with the lettuce. Today the whole roll kept falling apart. Disappointed, $34 less rich but I guess it was a 5/10. I drizzled sriracha on my spicy maple ridge roll since it was heavily lacking. Oh and they need to open a description window again on skip so we can ask for wasabi or at least extra since I either don’t receive it or have like nothing…

Super fresh, large portion sizes, and well presented. We ordered take out for a birthday lunch - were really impressed with the food and service. Picked up about 10 different rolls - Caterpillar and Philadelphia Rolls were the standouts - plus prawn tempura, which was fried fresh when we picked it up. Platters were well presented and food was tasty and fresh. Will be back!

Best sushi in maple ridge! Sushi is always fresh and delicious. This family-run business is a bit of a drive out of our way but always happy to go the extra mile for the great rolls and friendly service!

We ordered online which was super easy and actually really user friendly.
Everything was delicious and fresh!
So happy to have a location so close to home!
We ordered the Favourite combo A, Spicy Maple Ridge Roll, Crispy Crunch Roll &, The Crazy Salmon Roll! All soooo good!!

The BEST sushi in Maple Ridge! It’s very important to mention that “express” does not mean fast!

Freshest sushi I’ve found in ridge and just as good as at their original location. Except for the fact that this location does take out only, hence the title.

Yes, I’ve had to wait a bit for my order however, it’s 100% worth the wait. They are a busy restaurant for a reason!
