Summerland Heritage Cider Co.
There were some clouds in the sky the day we decided to visit Summerland Heritage cider Co. That didn’t dissuade us though, we were in the mood for some good tasting apple cider, and that is precisely what we received.
They charge $10 for a flight of four ciders and on this particular day, we had 10 to choose from. Seemed like a reasonable deal, until the cider showed up. These little glasses were almost filled to the very top 🙂
It was an excellent value.
Overall, it was a nice tasting experience, sitting at their back tasting area. This area is covered, and you are pretty much right inside the orchard it feels like. The apple trees were in bloom today, that made it particularly nice, or special. Have to come back to try different ciders, they were all very good. I did find them to be a little pricey however, when it came time to decide which ones we were going to take home. Regardless, it’s an overall terrific experience for people who enjoy good tasting apple cider.

August/2023:
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the cider tasting at this location. Normally, I’m not much of a Cider fan. I will say they had some good wine aged cider, the sweeter, apple cider, and pear cider were my favorites… They do have a Cider slushy that is actually quite fantastic.
That’s a huge chunk of lawn, where we saw games like cornhole, And other assorted games that it seems like you could play on these very nice, large sized style, picnic tables. Well, these aren’t really picnic tables, they’re nicer than the standard picnic table… I reference the photos.
All in all, if you like cider, you should visit this location

Everytime I come through this is a must stop! Hidden away and conveniently located, I love this place because their hospitality is unmatched. Add a slushy topper to your cider after you try a flight to pick your favs. The best way to cool off after a hot day at the beach! Live music and events make this place a perfect experience, time after time. My favorite is a round of flights, some snacks and a game of cornhole, right there on their lawn. The backdrop to this cidery is their stunning orchard views. Bonus Kid AND dog friendly! Would give more stars if I could!

Really great cider in a beautiful building with a nice big lawn. We enjoyed all the ciders, especially the slush one, and the lawn games and table games were a really nice touch.

Laid back atmosphere and great place to unwind away from the crazy Summerland traffic. If you come early enough, there are no crowds. The cider pours are great and they have a pretty decent selection.

What a fabulous place to cleanse your palate while wine tasting. We brought our BC Wine Appreciation Society here and Ted and Lauren were fantastic with the tasting. Wow... the Cider here is so so so good. A fantastic place to visit if you are anywhere near Summerland. Thanks so much Lauren and Ted for a great afternoon!

I love the cider slush …. I have not had a cider that I didn’t like . Definitely will be back with family visiting from the east coast .

Very nice atmosphere large picnic style tables overlooking orchard and grassy area with games available to be played on grass. None alcoholic apple juice slushes for kids and rotating taps of different ciders. Blackberry mint was available as a slushy option that really hit the spot on a very hot day. Could use few more misters put in the mister system to keep patio cooler.
