We were returning to Summerland where we had lived for several month in the past and friends there suggested the Front Bench B&B near them for our 3 night stay. We had the Agave room that is very comfortable, immaculately clean, and with a nice patio overlooking the lake. Jan and Stearn are wonderful hosts, very friendly and accommodating, and are there when you need but do not hover. The breakfasts were extremely nice, and Jan kindly made custom breakfasts for those that had dietary needs and preferences. Stearn was also great with many fun stories and great sense of humor. ||As others have said, it has a great view over the lake and is close to the wineries and other activities. A great place to stay.

We found this B&B on Trip Advisor. Booking the room was a nice experience with Stearn. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Stearn & Jan who made us feel at home. Jan had a welcome beverage package in our fridge. Guests are free to use the common room, patio, BBQ, etc. The view of Okanagan Lake is amazing. Wild quail provide entertainment. Stearn has an awesome sense of humour. They are very helpful with suggestions for things to do & eateries. Jan's breakfast is wonderful; healthy, tasty & great portions. Our stay has been great, sorry we have to leave. We would highly recommend Front Bench B&B to anyone. We hope to stay with Stearn & Jan again soon.

A wonderful gem in Summerland. This B & B is absolutely immaculate and boasts a stunning view of Lake Okanagan. Front Bench is just a short drive to dozens of wineries and fine dining. Our hosts Jan and Stearn were more than hospitable and helpful in suggesting local outings. The rooms are spacious and bright, oh and did I mention immaculate? A sunny common room is available all day for tea and coffee and the guest rooms featured free wifi, a small fridge with complimentary beverages and a private outdoor sitting area. A wide variety of movies are also available at no charge. Murray's pizza in town is great for takeout to enjoy on your patio while admiring the view. Peachland, Penticton and Kelowna are all a short drive away and it's worthwhile to make Front Bench your home base for these locations too. ||Can't wait to go back!

We had the pleasure of staying at Front Bench B&B while attending a wedding in Summerland on Canada Day. Jan and Stearns were such gracious hosts, we were greeted with a warm friendly welcome. The room was beautifully decorated and very spacious, they've thought of every little detail down to the cold water,pop and beer in the fridge. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts out on the deck overlooking their lovely park like yard. Stearns even drove my husband to the wedding venue, he went over and above what you would ever expect from a B&B host.We look forward to visiting them again soon. ||Angie&Gord||Vernon BC

This B&B is well run. Jan and Stern take pride in their home and it shows. Rooms are clean and comfortable, yard and gardens well maintained and Breakfast was delicious and served on the deck each morning. This B&B has three rooms in the walk out basement, all with their own entrances, views of the lake and a sitting area outside each room. There is a common room as well. We will definitely stay again on our trips to Summerland. Wonderful hosts!

Even though we arrived very early, Jan was happy to show us our nice and very clean room. The beds were very comfortable, equipped with a fridge and complementry drinks. Stearn was happy and joined us for breakfast, we had very interesting and funny conversations. Our hosts gave us helpful tips for places to go and eat out. We absolutely recommend this B&B to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Summerland. Many thnaks for the nice stay !

Das Front Bench Bed & Breakfast war unser erster Stop auf unserer BC/Alberta Rundreise nachdem wir Vancouver verlassen hatten. Und es hat uns von den Socken gehauen. Jan und Stern waren sehr herzliche und aufmerksame Gastgeber. In dem Moment, wo man die schönen, sehr sauberen und modernen, mit schnellem W-Lan ausgestatteten Zimmer betritt, fühlt man sich sofort wie im Urlaub. Sitzt man dann auf der Terasse mit Blick auf den Okanagan See ist das Urlaubsfeeling perfekt. |Das selbstgemachte Frühstück, welches bei gutem Wetter auf der Terasse serviert wird, reicht von Pancake über Waffeln, Joghurt mit frischem Obst aus dem eigenen Garten bis hin zu Frittata und Toast.|Wir können diese Unterkunft ausnahmslos weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Zur Abreise haben wir zur Überbrückung der langen Fahrt in die Rockys sogar noch eine CD mit Kurzgeschichten von Stern mitbekommen.

Located above Hwy 97 the house is perched on a bench offering nice views. It is very quiet and the 3 guest rooms are downstairs opening onto patio and yard space visited by quails. The 3 guest rooms share a kitchenette with a fridge, sink and tea, coffee and hot chocolate makings. There is a comfortable love seat, and wing chair with good light for reading. Rooms are equipped with individual small fridges, which we were grateful to have as we had visited Carmelis Cheese. Complimentary pop, beer and water is stocked in each fridge. Jan and Stearn are warm and gracious hosts and bring their coffee into the breakfast room to visit with guests. We enjoyed their company and their very nicely appointed guest space. Nicely located between Penticton and Kelowna, this is a great place to use as a base for visiting wineries.
