Food was gross. We ordered nachos & poutine to share. The gravy was terrible & the cheese curds tasted like they went bad. The nachos had cheese sauce, not real cheese. We gave it a try but couldn’t eat it, so we paid & left it all there. Waste of $. I was hoping for a great dive bar with great food….not the case at all. And I’m not even sure what they call this place cause it sure wasn’t a smokehouse. It looks like the name has changed a few times.

We ordered through Uber eats and was more then impressed. I would not consider them a smokehouse because their menu is limited in the meat department. But, we got burgers, nachos and naan bread. All the food arrived hot and was quite tasty. I would definitely recommend their burger if you're really hungry, because it's huge!!

We can’t actually review the food as we just walked in to eat here with our kids and immediately turned around and left. Despite having a kids menu… this is NOT what I would call a family restaurant. The entryway smelled heavily of perfumey air fresheners and cigarette smoke. It was very run down and sketchy-bar like inside. No thank you.

Menu options are severely limited for those with gluten allergies. Tried to order a burger with a GF bun (which is an extra $4 by the way) and they didn't have any...so...only 1 thing on the menu I could eat - chicken tacos. My son received his food almost 5 minutes before mine came. The tacos were ice cold and had absolutely no flavour. Won't be returning.

We just dined here and what a disaster. 1st, the info and menu online are for the old Restaurant, not this version. We ate at the old one and it was great... this one, not so much. For starters, the menu is completely changed, and not for the better. Its well priced, until you eat the food and then, maybe not! We arrived at 745 and it was empty... should have been a sign. Saw the menu and asked where all the smokehouse stuff was.... gone!
So, my wife ordered the chicken tacos, and I ordered the pulled pork. The pork was out of a bag from a food service supplier, pretty average. everything here looks like it comes out of a bag or package and gets re-heated... Except my wife's tacos, which ended up being one of the worst items we have ever been served in a restaurant. It was small cubed chicken, in a corn tortilla, with cheese and lettuce. EXCEPT- nothing was heated or cooked, like even a little. The pre cooked chicken was just pulled out of the bag from the fridge, put into a cold shell, with cold lettuce and cheese. Awful! We would have complained, but we were starving , and our server was busy with no other tables , so we had no one to complain to until 5 minutes after we finished. We told her what the tacos were like,cold , not cooked. She exclaimed, thats weird, i will have to check on that. Well, if she did, she never came back to report her findings. She just brought the bill and the CC machine. No sorry, no can we offer you a 2nd drink, desert, or god forbid,comp that meal. Nope just pay up, Im kinda busy. For the 1st time in many many years, i left no tip. she sensed we were upset but its like , oh well, better luck next time.
If you read some of the recent 5 star reviews, let me assure you these were left by family or friends.... not real customers.
This is bad pre fab bar food from management that could seemingly care less.

But here's the catch. Canmore is full of Restaurants, good ones. Bad ones disappear and thats probably where this should be headed. You can only survive with a false website and garbage food for so long.
If you think .... ah , its just tourists, we will just wait for the next ones to come along! Remember, Tourists write reviews too.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE WEVE EVER HAD..
Quite literally the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had,
We ordered a drink and the Bison burger / Pulled pork special. We decided to sit up on the roof top patio. Beautiful views don’t get us wrong! HOWEVER, we ended up waiting 2 hours for our food, after complaining 1.5 hours in they decided to give us our drinks for free, we thought that was fair for waiting that long however..
We revived our food and it was horrible quite literally the worst fries we’ve ever had in our entire lives, smelt like plastic and tasted like old oil. We didn’t finish our meal and complained, server did not care at all, said we had a discount on the drinks and she could not do anything.. worst service and food in Canmore DO NOT GO HERE.

The service was great and the owner was friendly and helpful. My pulled pork sandwich was good. Nice bun. Note: the restaurant has recently changed owners and is NO LONGER A SMOKEHOUSE. The menu on Google maps is wrong. Do not expect brisket and such. Still good food though.
