Das Grandview Chalet B&B von Duane und Carol ist eine rundum tolle Unterkunft. Carol hat sich reizend um uns gekümmert und uns mit vielen hilfreichen Tipps zu besonderen Ausflügen fernab des Massentourismus versorgt. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und es fehlte auch sonst an nichts. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr willkommen gefühlt. Wer Wert auf eine etwas persönlichere Unterkunft legt ist bei Carol und Duane genau richtig!

We were delighted with our stay at Grandview. Carol and Duane were terrific hosts, who took the time to talk to us about the local area, restaurant options, and a whole range of other topics. The facilities were nicely appointed and immaculate. Private entrance, large bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and pleasant eating area with a small fridge, coffee maker, etc. The fridge was well stocked with breakfast goodies, including cereals, juice, fruit, yoghurt, fresh bread from a local bakery, homemade morning glory muffins and hard-boiled eggs. The B&B is in a nice quiet neighborhood close to the Bow River and trails and five minutes drive to downtown.||Grandview is one of the nicest B&Bs we have visited in our travels; a great place to stay if you are planning to be in Canmore.

We had a wonderful stay at Duane and Carol's Grandview Chalet. We were well-looked-after in all aspects: delicious and filling breakfasts to get us ready for the day, portable coolers and ice packs to bring on our hikes, books with hiking tips, advice from Carol and Duane themselves, a quiet, clean, and comfortable place to sleep, and even bear spray on loan for our hikes! Their B&B is in a great location within walking distance to many trails, close to restaurants and shops, and less than a 30-min. drive to Banff. We've traveled all over the world and very few accomodations are as special and as memorable as this one. Our family would highly recommend this B&B as a base for your visit to Canmore, Banff, and the surrounding area.

Canmore is een leuk alternatief voor Banff. Grandview Chalet een perfecte locatie om te verblijven. Carol en Duane zijn perfecte hosts. Duane is geboren en getogen in de bergen en geeft je ook veel en goed advies over verschillende hikes. Carol slaat graag een praatje en maakt lekkere muffins om mee te nemen tijdens je wandelingen. Het ontbijt was zeer verzorgd en lekker en meer als voldoende. De kamers zijn mooi maar de badkamers zijn wat aan de kleine kant.

Staying at the Grandview Chalet B&B proved to be the perfect start to our stay in the Rockies. The room was comfortable - especially the bed - and the breakfasts memorable. The bathroom however very tiny. The hosts were helpful in giving travel information, but rather stand-offish. They were very protective of their private space, which I totally understand, but to refuse using their washroom before we left (and after vacating the room) and to suggest to use a public one downtown instead, was not a very nice thing to do, let alone a customer friendly way to end our stay.

This B&B is in a typical nice house at the side of Canmore center. Very quiet, cosy room.||There is a very nice breakfast room with fridge. You can take a cup of coffee or tea whenever you want. You can use a cooling picnic bag and even camping chairs for your daytrip. ||A good accommodation for all your trips, summer or winter.||Very warm welcome!

Carol und Duane sind tolle Gastgeber, die die Bedürfnisse von Aktivurlaubern sehr gut kennen und dementsprechend darauf eingestellt sind. zB ist es möglich, kostenlos die Waschmaschine und den Trockner zu benutzen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, modern und sauber. Das stärkende Frühstück wird von den beiden liebevoll serviert, ebenso stehen Carol und Duane mit Wetterprognosen, Ausflugstipps und vor allem wunderbaren praktikablen Tourenvorschlägen zur Seite

Carol & Duane are great hosts, living in a beautiful neighborhood in Canmore. Both the room and breakfast were excellent. They were also very helpful in planning our activities in the area, as well as our journey moving on. If you like B&B's and are staying in the Banff/Canmore area, this is the place to stay!
