Wow. What an amazing stay at Shames Country Lodge. My wife, two good friends and myself stayed at the Lodge for a week and our hosts, Simone and Klaus, went over and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. We were ski touring in the Terrace area and definitely recommend this gem without hesitation to other skiers. The place was comfortable, the food was awesome, homemade goodness everyday, breakfast, post touring snacks (with a special mention for the amazing salmon dip, wow) and dinner. To top it off, Klaus had the fire heated hot tub nice and warm for us after every ski day. A+, bravo.

A BIG Thank You to Simone and Klaus for making my birthday weekend amazing. The food cooked up by Simone was amazing and the lodge was the exact place I needed. The wood-fired hot tub outside was great after a day of skiing. Simone and Klaus were incredibly hospitable and had great information about the area. It was a memorable experience and I look forward to supporting our local businesses more in the future.

Klaus and Simone made our 2 families feel very welcome at their beautiful lodge. Cooked breakfast each morning and a hot tub at night, the perfect tonic for a weekend skiing. Rooms are spacious, beds super comfortable and bathrooms clean and modern. I would definitely recommend Shames Country lodge.

3 buddies and myself stayed with Klaus and Simone for a week in January. You could not find a more hospitable clean and friendly environment in one of the most beautiful parts of our country. They know this area and were more then willing To pass on knowledge. The tiny shames ski resort is a true gem. Original and unchanged by time. The club breaths skiers personality. Even during Covid I felt a warmth and welcoming like being a child again. I’ve been all over the planet on skies. I’m going back to terrace shames and the shames country lodge.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this Lodge. The hosts are amazing. Claus really knows the area well and has a great handle on the weather and snow conditions. He was so attentive and accommodating. Couldn't be happier with our stay! We will definitely be back. The breakfast is SO good and the cedar hot tub was a big bonus! ||The location is perfectly situated between the City of Terrace and Shames Mountain. It felt like we were in a winter get-away in Norway or Germany!

Best place to stay for skiing in Shames Mountain. Conveniently located close to river and the mountain. Knowledgeable and attentive owner took great care of us during our stay. We had everything we needed, cozy living room, patio with grill, well equipped kitchen, clean room with comfortable beds. You won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed my stay at Shames Country Lodge. The owners are lovely, as is the property and breakfast. And their dog! Great rooms, great price, great service, and great location - especially if you're skiing! Highly recommend.
