I enjoy No. 1's food, but today's quality wasn't quite right (Friday, Sept 15th, 2023). Two of us ordered a Combo No. 1 which is chicken chow mein, and sweet'n'sour boneless pork, and a Combo No. 2 that is chicken chowmein, and dry garlic pork spareribs with two eggroll.

They use to have an amazing sweet and sour sauce, but the sauce I got on my boneless pork was definitely not sweet, nor sour. It was salty, and flavorless otherwise. The chowmein was salty, and overcooked to the point it was mushy.

Combo No. 1's chowmein was also salty, and overcooked; and the dry spareribs definitely lived up to their name. They were very dry, tasted like oil, and tasted nothing like garlic.

The only part of the meal that was somewhay okay were the eggrolls. Crisp, but very oily, and bland. It's hard to find a good eggroll in this city, and these were no exception.

Unfortunately, not our best experience. We did not finish our meal. I really hope it was just a bad day, but there's no consistency anymore. Fairly friendly service helped this rating.

I can only speak for the chicken fingers, poutine and vietnamese coffee here. I have only ever ordered those 3 items. I personally love them. Good amount of gravy and shredded cheddar on the poutine. I love the sweet and sour dipping sauce for the chicken strips. The Vietnamese coffee is a nice smooth flavor. Good condensed milk to coffee ratio. The price has inflated quite a bit. Approximately $30, give or take, for those 3 items. More with a good tip. This is now a comfort food that I get on the rare occasion due to the price, cause let's be honest. At the end of the day, it's just chicken fingers and poutune... You can make chicken fingers and poutine at home for a fraction of the cost.

I ordered a Salisbury steak. And they gave it to me with no gravy. So I got these 2 dryed Patty's with mushrooms. And lady was so smug and not even going to rectify it. I'm already at home trying to eat and she expects me to go back downtown to pick up gravy that they messed up on.ill never order from these jokes again. Gross. Couldn't even finish it so dam dry

was crunching on egg shells in my food and all the lady says is “sometimes we no see it” also asked for whipped cream and fruit on top of my french toast but i let that slide.🤷‍♀️

It was a hard choice between 2 or 3 star. The garlic ribs are always awesome. They catered my wedding. I go mainly for fries and gravy . Sometimes clam chowder soup. But lately the gravy is not like it used to be. It's runny . I ordered the Ruben with aujou and the gravy was watery lately. I have ordered for months and it is the new norm. Runny gravy.

Moved away for a few years and returned to have my #1 dish calamari and tsasiki only to be very disappointed at how rubbery it was and tzatziki seemed to be missing some flavor, you ruined what used to be an amazing dish. Won’t be ordering there again.

Easily one of my favorite places to eat when I lived in Prince Rupert, BC.

Chicken fingers & chow mein, with a tall glass of chocolate milk & ice! Always made sure to visit every trip home to see family & friends for lunch & conversation. So saddened to hear restaurant has closed. It just wouldn't be the same ordering to go.

It would be wonderful to see it reopen, as I'm certain I'm not the only one who feels this is a great loss to the community.

Not sure what happend to this place used to be so good! Chow mein was dry and nasty! Dry garlic spareribs tasted like grease! Orderd a combo chicken chow mein and chicken balls and they basically just give you popcorn chicken with sweet and sour sauce on it!… if you want good food try somewhere else! 👎
