Such a small and easy airport! The counter associates were amazing and was trying to get us a flight as soon as possible when they knew our flight had been delayed due to issues in Vancouver. Going the check in process & TSA was a breeze! Also the views are absolutely amazing!

It’s great to have an airport to allow anyone form the north to get down south. It’s really small yet cozy and local. Only a five minute drive from Smithers. Car rentals and a Ukrainian restaurant. Very nice pierogies 😊

There is only one gate and sadly there are no water fountains so you’ll only be able to drink on the planes.

It’s a very simple and very friendly a little airport.
You will need a ride to get to town.
There’s a big taxidermy grizzly in the main viewing area and it’s very easy to find your flight (and family) when you’re visiting Smithers. There’s also a small area to buy souvenirs and postcards.

I really like Smithers Airport, and the recent renovation added a nice touch. The taxidermized grizzy bear prior to TSA is cool, and I personally think they are neat. This airport is quite modest as you would expect, and the only thing keeping me from giving this airport 5 stars is that TSA took a lipstick from one of my family members during my last visit in 2020, with no explanation or reasoning. Other than that, this airport is nicely designed and has a good atmosphere.

Such a super small airport with increasingly high demand and one fly to Vancouver daily. One rental car company and no food . Internet is terrible here unless you hook to their undependable wifi. PS- Canada is a G7 country !

We had an excellent experience leaving Smithers airport on an Air Canada flight yesterday.

Our arrival was delayed by one day on January 12th due to fog cover and inability of the plane to land. We returned to Vancouver, booked a hotel room and fortunately the flight the next day landed successfully.
