A truly wonderful find. Serene, harmony, healing energy, perfectly nestled into old growth fir and arbutus on top of a hillside above St Mary’s Lake with the smell of cedar resonating everywhere. The sauna and cold plunge circuit is just as one should be, high quality materials everywhere, and Michaela and Simon are lovely hosts - Simon even added extra ice blocks for other cold tub after I explained that I was experienced with thermal circuits. Lovely shower and hammock to reset in ambient temperature, or use the hot tub, or Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. Everything is thought of. Had the entire space to myself for 90 minutes, absolutely worth it.

You can’t help but leave in a different body and mind space than which you arrived, all for the better. Nature and thermal therapy at its finest. I’ll certainly be back.

An Absolute Wonder inside the forest, a completely private space for you with everything you will need, I have to say the temperature was perfect in every amenity & the service was very kind to us. Cedar wood sauna, amazing cold plunge, a good shower, a nice hot tub and a fireplace to enjoy a picnic. I recommend that you bring your own food and beverages to maximize the experience. 200% RECOMMENDED ?

Relaxing and harmonious. Perched atop a hill next to St Mary Lake, this spa is beautiful and tucked away just enough to feel private. With multiple different options to relax, from their massages to their spa circuits, there will always be a great choice for you, no matter the group or occasion. This place has amazingly kind and accommodating staff that helped my partner and I pick out the perfect selection of relaxation options. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Saltspring Island!

First time ever trying hot cold therapy and it was so worth it!!! My husband and I went here as part of our wedding anniversary trip here in Salt Spring Island. Michaela and Simon were very lovely. Simon was most helpful in explaining how hot cold therapy works as we were first timers. Wonderful ambiance, hot tub in the forest. Relaxing vibes. Definitely should be an included activity when visiting Salt Spring Island!!

We got the Deluxe Package in the Salish Circuit Spa which included a fruit and chocolate platter, and hot tea as well. Tea was superb, amazing drink while trying to get back your body to ambient temperature after the hot/cold plunge ?

There was a hammock and fire pit area where you can chill out and also a covered area by the hot tub and cold plunge area. Wonderful experience all around. Okay to bring out our own food as well. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Such a beautiful slice of heaven set amongst the arbutus trees! My friend and I loved the private thermal spa circuit and the relaxing hammock was perfect. Next time I will definitely bring some charcuterie and beverages!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Arbutus Thermal Spa, and it was an experience like no other. Nestled in a tranquil forest, this spa offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel at ease from the moment I arrived.

The atmosphere at Arbutus Thermal Spa is simply magical. Surrounded by nature, the spa exudes peace and relaxation. The sound of the forest and the gentle rustling of leaves create a perfect backdrop for unwinding.

One of the highlights of my visit was the unique campfire and cold plunge circuit. It was invigorating to alternate between the warmth of the campfire and the refreshing cold plunge pools. This circuit truly revitalized my body and mind.

Overall, Arbutus Thermal Spa is a hidden gem that promises a rejuvenating retreat. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet, amazing spa experience in a beautiful natural setting.

Stunning forest location for a rejuvenating sauna experience. Simon was very friendly and welcomed my partner and I upon arrival. He explained how to use the facilities. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, but even if there were up to 6 people, the facilities would have been comfortable and enjoyable.

The spa is set in a quiet hilltop with birdsong and trees all around. Idyllic!

The sauna and hot tub were nice and hot, the cold plunge was really refreshing, and the resting area and hammock were very comfortable.

We'd definitely make this a part of a future Saltspring visit!
