Lit inconfortable, salle de bain minuscule, chauffage brisé, aucun service à la réception durant la soirée et le lendemain matin. Wifi très lent. Très cher: 169$ + taxes + déjeuner! Je ne le recommande à personne!

A neat lunch stop on the way up to Gander. This is a small restaurant and motel but the food is all home made. Fish and chips were excellent but forget there is no mayo in most of Newfoundland only miracle whip! Tried the turkey fingers very unique and glad the waitress suggested having the, with sweet and sour sauce. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Arnold’s cove is a cute spot there are walking trails right at the ocean to walk down to see the view take time to stop in this quaint little town.

The employees are the sweetest. Loved my stay, they were so kind and helpful. There's a nice trail nearby also.

It's the little things. Stay was okay, but a bit pricey for what you got. A full breakfast would have made things better instead of a toast, muffin and coffee. Room could use a refresh and the towels are ready to be rags. ||Staff were friendly - that seems to be a given in Nfld!

Staying in the dirty cold trailers in the back. They are advertised as a work camp but it’s more like a prison! The paper thin walls and sharing a bathroom with a stranger really top it off!! At least they could split the rooms between night shift and day shift but nope. You get to listen to your neighbour using the can. The door is cut off so short you can even see his feet as he sits on the toilet. Also the tiny twin bed is rock hard to really give you that prison cell experience. Forgot to mention when my AC cuts in sounds like a plane taking off!! ||The food in the restaurant looks excellent but we get bagged French fries crispy extra extra salty ones. I’m sure my company pays enough money for my room and board that they could serve us homefries. It’s certainly a challenge to follow any diet with that or a choice of Cesar salad. ||

Arnold’s Cove Inn was a memorable experience, unfortunately for all of the wrong reasons. I am not generally a negative minded individual but it is of my opinion that Arnold’s Cove Inn deceives customers with the way they present themselves online. This was by far our most expensive stay in Newfoundland yet by every metric our worst. More details below for those interested.||The first thought turning into to what they refer to as an “Inn” was : “I think we are at the wrong place” which set the tone perfectly for the remaining of the visit. The “Inn” is a bunch of trailers put together most of them grey, drab, and deprived of any charm with the exception of a few units outside of the main trailer emulating the jellybean appearance of St-John. Although being in Arnold’s Cove and having a picture of the local warf on their website, in reality you are deprived of any enjoyable view of the town. In fact, the location is fairly isolated. After getting our key and walking into our room, the temperature was set below 60F, which is frigid and unwelcoming, but luckily could be adjusted up to 86F. First, the room is incredibly small with barely enough space to breathe, keep in mind they call their rooms “deluxe”. After entering what is essentially a walk in closet, it didn’t take long to notice drilling holes in the furniture, chipped or water damage on the night tables, improperly set floors with gaps between some of the planks, wires coming out of the wall, small but noticeable stains on the pillows, crooked bathroom shelve, stains on the wall, not a single firm receptacle, and finally toilet paper so thin that you can see the outline and colour of your hand when holding a sheet. Despite clearly putting in our reservation that we were two adults coming for the night, we only had one body towel which was brown in colour and seemed odd. After a quick google search, towels in hotels are white so they can bleach them, kill germs, and throw out any towels with stains or mold. It looks like this place went on Marketplace or Kijiji to find everything they have for the lowest price possible and it shows. For example, every coat hanger is wildly different, why is that? Why not just buy a bulk of the same one for uniformity? If you’re entering the hospitality business, then it is in your best interest to pay attention to details and not cheap out on everything including toilet paper. Again, this place was 170$ for the night and you can get something far better for far less, well pretty much anywhere.||The only redeeming factor is that the staff was friendly. The staff did offer us another room, but every issue listed above was still at play with the exception of the size of the room itself. They honestly seemed sympathetic to our situation as if they know themselves what this place truly is. Kudos to whoever designed the website, you got me. I hope anyone reading this review considers another spot. As for the this place, I hope they take this criticism seriously and improves on the delivery of their service or at the very least, adjust the prices and become more accurate in their marketing.

I just love this place! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating.. I believe they'd literally give the shirts off their back if need be. The manager is on site and takes care of any needs or issues promptly and immediately. In summery, there is nothing much more I can say other than while I am here, half-way across the country from my home, they truly, truly make me feel like family. 🙂
