De tous les terrains de camping que nous avons faits depuis le début de notre voyage dans l'Ouest canadien, c'est la plus belle arnaque que nous avons connue. Ce n'est vraiment pas un terrain de camping!! C'est à peine un terrain de stationnement avec quelques commodités. La seule différence avec le stationnement en bordure de route c'est l'accès à l'eau potable et aux égouts. Le train passe dun côté et l'autoroute de l'autre, très bruyant!.

There were people in large RVs set up for the weekend. It was quiet until the train went by twice.

Well taken care of, friendly care taker, great scenery but unless you are hard of hearing or a really deep sleeper you won’t like this site. Two train tracks are across the river where there is an uncontrolled crossing (read: train horns all the time) and one train track behind the campsite (100 meters away). Trains are close to hourly (not joking) with around 4 trains from midnight to 8 am. I have never seen so many trains before. I really wanted to love it here but with the constant noise we will never be back which is sad since it’s so affordable.

Sehr schöner Campingplatz am Fluss, saubere Toiletten und die beste Dusche, die ich bisher im Urlaub hatte.

Hier kann man auch für ein paar Münzen seine Wäsche waschen. Strom- und Wasseranschluss (hoher Druck) sind für Camper verfügbar.

Und ja, es fahren regelmäßig Züge. Wenn man sich darauf einstellt, ist das meiner Meinung nach aber kein großes Problem. Allerdings kamen auch nicht jede halbe Stunde Züge und es haben auch nicht alle gehupt - vielleicht muss man da Glück haben. Mit Ohropax konnte ich aber super schlafen.

Really great park, friendly hosts, tent spots have power, bathrooms super new and clean, great showers! Awesome views of the Thompson River. Great little town too! Grocery store across the street.

Not the place to go if you're sleeping in a tent. We pitched up on the attractive green lawn by our site, only to be told that we had to put our tent on the sharp gravel because the sprinklers come on in the night. We did so, and still got absolutely drenched for a couple of hours around 2 a.m., to the extent that it started coming through the tent. Our friend slept under a tarp tied to the picnic table, was also drenched by the sprinklers and charged $20 for the privilege, even though he was on the same site as us. As everyone else has said, the trains keep you awake all night. The washrooms were very nice, so 2 stars for that. Might be nice if you have an RV and some ear plugs.

Friendly host, good location walkable to the grocery store and main street in town with places to eat. Interesting area good location if your on your way to Kamloops or interior area and want a quieter spot. Only thing were the trains were loud but we got used to it.

A very quiet little place with camping and RV spots right on the river. Has bathrooms with showers .River inn hotel is a short walk with a pub and good food . Town is a 5 min.walk to grocery shopping, a hardware store and great restaurants. Always Hot in Ashcroft !!
