I am being treated by Harry Singh for plantar fasciitis. Leading up to the many months of suffering before I found Athlete’s Care’s Harry Singh, I would have days in which I would limp around due to the brutal pain in my foot. I tried everything: supportive shoes, special inserts, laser treatments, other physiotherapy, pain killers, pain relief lotions, rest, ice, heat, massage, etc. I am a busy working mother with zero time to spare for my self care but I finally relented to serious treatment after exhausting everything else out there. I had lost all hope.

From the onset Harry made it clear that my goal to regain full mobility without pain was achievable and he was going to be there every step of the way. From the first treatment I got significant relief after suffering for almost a year. Harry recommended a series of exercises to strengthen my leg and adjusted my treatment plan weekly depending on my results and my feedback which he solicits at the start of each session.

His proactive, customized and multifaceted approach has made a huge difference in my recovery (that’s right, recovery! Because we simply refuse to believe that this is NOT how I will spend the rest of my life!) and with each visit his encouragement and support has truly given me hope and strength. His positive demeanour, sense of humour and willingness to experiment with varied methods, makes me look forward to our treatment sessions.

I am ever so grateful to have found this unique, knowledgeable physiotherapist and I ask you, why haven’t you booked an appointment with Harry yet?!

Derick is hands down the best RMT I’ve been to. I’ve been going to see him for years and he always finds the solutions for my issues. He does dry needling and deep tissue therapy which always leave me feeling so relaxed and tension free. I now live an hour away but still come see him because he’s simply the best!

My mom had an appointment and arrived just 8 minutes late due to unavoidable circumstances. Despite being in severe pain, she was willing to accept a shorter session. However, the receptionist completely ignored her. By the time she was finally able to speak with the manager, even more time had passed. Instead of showing any understanding, the manager was extremely rude and demanded that she leave immediately—despite the fact that she was in intense pain and simply waiting in the waiting room for her Uber in freezing weather.

What makes this even more frustrating is that my mom has been a regular patient at this clinic for the past 8 years. On multiple occasions, she has had to wait 10–15 minutes past her scheduled appointment time when the clinic was running behind. Yet, when she was only slightly late, she was treated with complete disregard. Most places allow a 5–10 minute grace period for late arrivals, especially in healthcare settings where unexpected delays can happen. The fact that this courtesy was not extended to my mom, despite her long-standing relationship with the clinic and the fact that she was in pain, is unacceptable.

This level of unprofessionalism and lack of compassion is deeply disappointing. Patients deserve respect and basic courtesy, especially when they are seeking medical care. I am incredibly upset with how my mom was treated and expected better from a healthcare facility she has trusted for so many years.

The twice-weekly sessions have been essential to my recovery, and I’m seeing steady improvement in strength and mobility.
