The cabin is cozy, quiet and super clean. The bed is so comfortable that you do not want to get up until the delicious homemade breakfast is served to your cabin. You are literary 5 minutes walk from Banff Avenue. Thanks to Malcom and Sharon's recommendations, we took some of the most amazing hiking trails and were able to do one in particular because they let us borrow some cleats to climb to the top. Malcom and Sharon are wonderful hosts with a warm hospitality.||||La cabine est accueillante, au calme et très propre. Le lit est si confortable qu'il est difficile de le quitter jusqu'au moment où le délicieux petit déjeuner - fait maison - est servi dans la cabine. La cabine est à 5 minutes à pied de l'avenue principale : Banff Avenue. Grâce aux recommandations de Malcom et de Sharon, nous avons pris des chemins de randonnées assez extraordinaires dont un en particulier pour lequel nos hôtes nous ont prêtés des crampons pour pouvoir atteindre le sommet. Malcom et Sharon sont des hôtes formidables et dotés d'une hospitalité chaleureuse.

Nous sommes allés à Banff Log Cabin pour célébrer notre anniversaire de mariage et c'était tout simplement magique. Toutes les attentions données afin que notre séjour soit mémorable ont rendu cela parfait, au-delà de nos attentes. Le déjeuner était excellent, l'emplacement est idéal, proche du centre-ville et de plusieurs attraits sans parler du chalet en soit qui est très romantique. Je recommande cet endroit fortement, vous ne pourrez pas être déçu.

Cabine bien située dans un quartier proche de la ville ou on peut acceder par chemin a pied au bord de la rivière.||Accueil chaleureux et souriant un peu commercial.||Beaucoup de services : eaux fraiche, thés, peignoirs, pantoufles, chocolat...||Pour le prix (tout de même très cher) nous aurions aimé prendre un bain ou une douche chaude le soir (impossible l'eau était froide) et un lit plus ferme et moins affaissé.||La chambre est de taille parfaite et très propre avec cuisine et salle de bain, a côté de la maison ce qui offre une parfaite intimité.|Le parking est situé juste devant ce qui est pratique.||Nous en gardons un bon souvenir.|Le petit déjeuner était frais (salade de fruits) et variés (choix de muffin) et fait maison! !

I’m speechless! Me and my partner stayed for a weekend to treat ourselves to something more intimate and different to youth hostels, and we were blown away! Sharon and Malcolm were extremely welcoming and made our stay in Banff simply incredible.
We will definitely be coming back if we ever get the chance.

Magical Christmas Stay – Highly Recommended!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Log Cabin. The cozy and charming atmosphere, paired with the magical winter vibes, made our Christmas in Banff truly unforgettable. The cabin’s warmth and cleanliness immediately set the perfect mood for a relaxing holiday retreat.

The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the serene Bow River trail and about 10 minutes to Downtown Banff, which made exploring so easy and enjoyable. Malcom and Sharon were exceptional hosts and made our stay even more special. From the moment we arrived, the cabin was beautifully prepped, and they had thoughtfully provided a list of recommended restaurants. We tried several of their suggestions, including the sushi house and Melissa's MisSteak, which quickly became our favorites!

One of the standout experiences was the amazing breakfasts Sharon prepared each morning. We are both food lovers, and every dish was a treat! The waffles and muffins were especially delicious, and we couldn’t stop raving about the lemon poppy seed muffins—they were hands down our favorite. The little extra treats served during our stay were such a thoughtful bonus.
What really made this place exceptional was the hosts’ genuine care and attention to detail. Malcom and Sharon went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. They were so friendly and accommodating, even helping us set up the outdoor fireplace, which created such a cozy and magical atmosphere for one of our evenings.

If you’re looking for a cozy, welcoming, and truly unforgettable getaway in Banff, I can’t recommend this cabin enough. Thank you, Malcom and Sharon, for making our Christmas so incredibly special. We’ll cherish these memories forever! ❤️

We enjoyed our stay at Banff Log Cabin Guesthouse. Emma was a superb hostess, very helpful with where to put our bikes (although they also have bikes to use!). The bed was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the delicious breakfasts each morning. We had difficulty choosing which kinds of muffins to order. Great location in quiet neighborhood very close to trails, walks and town. Even the neighbors we spoke to had great recommendations. A highlight of our trip.

What a privilege to stay at such a lovely spot. Malcolm was the perfect host. The cabin was clean and cozy. Breakfast was delicious. Malcolm gave us useful tips about where to go.

The location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Banff, but in a lovely quiet neighborhood. The loan bikes were a real bonus which made it simple to get all around Banff without jumping in the car. Banff is lovely to cycle around with plenty of cycle lanes and a 30kmph speed limit throughout the town.

If you are lucky enough to be staying in Banff I can thoroughly recommend the Maclab Bistro in the Banff Arts Centre. It is a 10 minute walk from the town centre, but well worth it for the view and less busy atmosphere.

In October, 2023, my wife and I returned to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We had honeymooned in the Banff, Lake Louise, and Jasper areas in 1993, and we so looked forward to creating new experiences and revisiting a place that holds such a special place in our hearts. A highlight of this trip was staying at the Banff Log Cabin, located a quick walk from the town of Banff. The cabin was beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, cozy, and spotless - a fantastic home away from home for us for 10 days. Malcolm and Sharon, our hosts, were welcoming, gracious, very friendly people, whose knowledge of the area was extensive and provided us with insight and opportunities for our shopping, dining, and hiking experiences from which we would otherwise not have benefited. The customer service provided by Malcolm and Sharon was truly exceptional. Among the many wonderful memories were: enjoying a fire during a beautiful snowfall; chocolates on our pillow; delicious breakfasts, which included catering to our need for gluten free options; celebrating our wedding anniversary by providing sparkling wine, steaming clothing for our anniversary dinner, and suggesting Eden, a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience. Banff Log Cabin is a beautiful place, situated in a gorgeous setting amongst majestic mountains, and run by very caring people who are also elite at what they do. Returning to Banff was a wonderful, surreal experience, and we thank Malcolm and Sharon for their gracious hospitality and for enhancing our memorable wedding anniversary celebration.
