We loved our stay at the bar f ranch. Kim The host was wonderful. The location is a bit out of the way, but we knew that in the first place. But if you're going down this particular Highway, it's a great place to stop between Jasper and Hinton.

From the moment we stepped onto Bar F Ranch House we felt like we had stepped into the quintessential mountain lodging experience. There is nothing that compares to this wonderful bed and breakfast if you are seeking genuine picturesque accommodation in the heart of mountain country. Located perfectly at the edge of the town of Hinton at the entrance to the gorgeous Jasper National Park, Bar F is a traditional bed and breakfast style home with intimate and cosy rooms upstairs and a huge common area downstairs with big bay windows and a deck looking out at the priceless view of the rocky mountains. The hosts Kim and Ryan were warm and hospitable throughout our stay. The rooms and common areas are clean and fresh. Even though there is WIFI, we opted to take the opportunity to be mostly technology free during our stay which was perfect for the setting. Bar F is a great location to just wander out and sit at one of the many picturesque seating areas dotted around the property. There is also a swinging chair situated perfectly in front of a magnificent view of the mountains. The breakfast was delicious - homecooked as it turns out by a professionally trained chef (Kim). We were pleasantly surprised to find out that Ryan runs a bicycle business and showed us several options for hiring or buying a repurposed bike. We opted to hire his electric bikes and had a fantastic afternoon exploring the local mountain bike tracks. Overall, we wish we could have stayed a little longer, however, are glad we didn't just book a regular hotel in town and instead, opted for a more genuine experience in mountain country. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to get a feel for authentic mountain life with it's quiet beauty and fresh air.

Room and washroom is pretty small. Only one bed and dresser can accommodate. There’s no lock in the washroom which is embarrassing. No water, no coffee machine, no tv. Host wasn’t very welcoming. Will not recommend to anyone

No locks provided in the washroom l, no water provided and you told us to drink water from the toilet, no glass to drink water from. I had to get water bottles from gas station at midnight. You expect to drink water using a hand. No breakfast was provided nor any communication was made regarding that. There was no tv in tge room neither any coffee machine. Even if we get late to breakfast its host duty to pack the breakfast or atleast give a coffee. Rooms were small and i could even stand in one corner as my head touches the floor. No iron for clothes. Totally a waste of money

I can't even with how spectacular this place is... rustic in the most charming kind of way! Kim is an absolute saint; friendly and engaging with tasty breakfast skills and good advice. Hard not to smile when you're here. Strongly recommend to anyone and everyone!

We spent 2 nights in August 2019 (Aug 3rd and Aug 4th). Kim's B and B is very special. It is neat and clean and an absolute delight to stay. Room is very reasonably priced and the breakfast is excellent. ||Kim is a GREAT HOST. ||We highly RECOMMEND this place.
