Tutto perfetto! Ci si sente coccolati come a casa! Yvonne e Bob sono dei padroni di casa fantastici. L’appartamento è spazioso, pulitissimo e curato nei minimi dettagli, pensate che Yvonne ci ha fatto trovare anche una cesta di giochi per la nostra bambina. Inoltre, ogni giorno ci ha lasciato sul tavolo, in salotto, dei cookies e delle barrette di cioccolata, oltre a quanto già messo a disposizione (boiler d’acqua fresca, tantissime varietà di te e caffè, cioccolata calda, lattine di soft drinks).
La colazione, sempre preparata da lei e servita nella loro sala, è stata davvero deliziosa tutti i giorni del nostro soggiorno (variava giornalmente, includendo sia alternative dolci che salate). Anche Bob è stato molto cordiale e ci ha dato preziosi consigli sui posti da vedere a Vancouver island.
Appena arrivati abbiamo anche trovato come regalo di benvenuto una marmellata di mirtilli.
Si vede che tutto è curato e preparato con amore.
Infine, segnalo che il WiFi funziona benissimo e che il parcheggio è disponibile proprio davanti la loro casa

Best B‘n‘B we have been to! The apartment was clean and spacious. The hosts Yvonne and Bob were very welcoming. Yvonne made the most delicious breakfast and cookies. Bob gave us a private tour around the area. We would definitely stay there again 🙂

This is an amazing place to stay in Port Alberni! Bob and Yvonne will go out of their way to accommodate you and make your stay comfortable and special. The minute you walk into the B&B, it is clear that every little detail has been thought out, from welcome messages, to homemade cookies on the table, to nice cold drinks in the fridge. The breakfast is absolutely incredible!! I honestly want to go stay there again, even just for the amazing gourmet breakfast Yvonne cooks for you in the morning. Don’t miss out on this amazing B&B!!

This is undoubtedly the very best B&B we have ever stayed at! Bill & Yvonne are caring, friendly hosts who make you feel so welcome & at home. The accommodation is truly excellent with minute detailing to make your stay more comfortable & enjoyable. Yvonne prepares & cooks a delicious breakfast. Bill & Yvonne go the extra mile to make sure you have all that you need, including places to eat for dinner & places to visit. Do not look anywhere else to stay in Port Alberni, because this B&B cannot be bettered!

6. Station unserer Rundreise. Auf dem Weg von Port Hardy nach Tofino noch 3 Tage ohne Buchung. Haben uns dann kurzfristig entschlossen in die Mitte von Vancouver Island, in Port Alberni zu übernachten. 3 Nächte bei Berkies Bed & Breakfast privat übernachtet. Ein Glücksfall. Yvonne und Bob tolle Gastgeber, sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Haben einen Stock höher bei Yvonne und Bob in Ihrer Wohnung gefrühstückt. Gleich mal tolle Tipps für die Gegend bekommen, und jeden Morgen ganz netten Small Talk. Frühstück an den 3 Tagen jedes mal was anders, und voll lecker. Fernfahrerportionen. Kaffee auch sehr gut. Hatten eine ganze Wohnung mit Schlafzimmer, Bad und Wohnzimmer. Alles Tipp-Top sauber, und keine Abnutzungserscheinungen. Abends lagen immer Schokoriegel und Kekse für uns bereit. W-Lan sehr gut. Parkplatz vorm Haus. Wohnung liegt sehr zentral. Tolle Gegend zum wandern. Und McLean Mill als Ausflug zu empfehlen. Super Aufenthalt.

Bob and Yvonne welcomed us into their home for a weekend. They gave us the locals info on the sights in town and things to do. The two of them were friendly and very helpful.

The suite was spacious and had everything we needed. Their home was lovely. The breakfasts Yvonne served were delicious. The best place to stay in town!

Das Berkis ist 100% zu empfehlen!!! Yvonne und Bob haben uns so herzlich empfangen, Tipps zu Ausflügen und Wanderungen gegeben, uns mit Keksen den Abend versüsst und uns noch ein Geschenk (Marmelade) mitgegeben. Aber die mega Überraschung war das Frühstück, welches von Yvonne jeden Morgen für uns frisch zubereitet wurde: Jogurt mit frische frischen Früchten, danach ein Muffin mit Eier, Spinat, Tomaten, Schinken. Am nächsten Morgen gab es Frenchtoast mit Obstsalat und am letzten Morgen gab es das leckerste Omelett, was ich jemals gegessen habe. Vegetarisch ist jederzeit möglich, Yvonne erkundigt sich im Vorfeld, was man verträgt bzw. was nicht. Die Wohnung ist so sauber und nett eingerichtet, so dass man sich vom ersten Moment heimisch fühlt! Solltet Ihr dort in der Gegend Urlaub machen wollen, dann sucht Euch das Berkie's aus. Es lohnt sich, bei Yvonne und Bob einen Stopp einzulegen, auch für die schönen Wanderungen, die man dort machen kann.

I grew up in Port Alberni and we have been back many times and stayed at many of the hotels and motels in Port. However, staying at Yvonne and Bob's "Berkies B&B" was the best place we have stayed at. Breakfast was wonderful as was the company of the owners. You have the total basement to relax in and the amenities would rival a five star hotel.
If you are going to stay in Port Alberni you can't go wrong with booking at Berkies.
