Modern hotel in an excellent location. Thry serve a very satisfying continental breakfast in the morning, and some amenitirs include a swimming pool and a small shop by thr lobby to purchase a few basic items and foods if needed.||The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds are a bit hard and it can be noisy at night, both from the outside (cars on Lakeshore drive, and the occasional nocturnal freight train passing on the tracks nearby) and inside (people entering and exiting rooms on the same floor, walking in the hallways, etc).||In all, the best hotel in Sylvan Lake. We have been staying there for a number of years when we visit town, and we intend to continue doing so in the future.

Location was great - close to the beach. Rooms were a bit dated but very clean and well-maintained. Rooms don't have coffee makers but they do have a microwave and mini fridge (and lobby has coffee). The complimentary breakfast also has a cappuccino maker (but that's only available during breakfast).

Beautiful rooms and cleaners were so friendly and good at what they do. I was not amused to be charged $10 for an early check-in considering the room was available. This was part of a block booking for so many friends and family of a wedding party. I just hope I get my $10 and tax back

What’s the cool location, close to the beach and all amenities you might need on your vacation!
First time here and not a great experience.
Very loud. Kids are running around screaming 24/7. At night as well:) Not a right place for a good night sleep.

Rooms are pretty basic. Very slow and poor internet connection so it was hard to watch TV.
Windows don't open so there's a stale smell in the rooms. They have AC but it would be nice to ventilate the rooms better.
Very nice comfy bed! As well, we had microwave and iron in the room.
I was surprised washroom didn’t have much complimentary stuff. There was only lonely mini lotion.. Shampoo, conditioner and shower soap provided tho. I expected to see complimentary soap, maybe toothpaste, cotton pads or something for price you’re paying, anyways..

Free breakfast. You’re lucky if you found a place to sit, way too small place for sitting for this amount of rooms. We was waiting good 20 min just for the table. Decent breakfast. Coffee machine stops working at 10am, as well juices:) But they have brewed coffee on the side and couple of varieties of tea.
I guess it was packed when we came, just because parking lot didn’t have available parking space. So it can be hard to find parking.
I was expected to see free complimentary water bottles in the room.

For price you’re paying it’s not worth it to stay in this hotel, in my opinion.
Friendly staff, and great location, but some cons are significant on making your decision of staying there.

Hard to believe that this hotel is a Best Western Plus, it has none of the things that the BW Plus brand has as a standard. The hotel is in a great location with close proximity to the lake/beach. That’s where the positives end. When we checked in we were told that we needed to move our car into the street as the entire car park was being turned over to a motorcycle pig-roast the next day, and unless we wanted to have to move the car in the early hours of the morning we had best move it now!||When we got to the room we found there was no coffee maker. I’m guessing that there used to be one as there was a counter space that was empty. The front desk confirmed that if you wanted a coffee or tea you had to come down to the lobby to get one.||The carpet in our room had a damp patch on it that was only apparent if you were in socks or bare feet. I assume this was due to the room being one where dogs are allowed and some poor dog didn’t make it outside in time.||The breakfast staff were overwhelmed, and there was a distinct lack of food. This may be attributable to people from the pig-roast coming in for breakfast too. The area that they serve breakfast in is way too small for the size of hotel. As it turned out the pig-roast didn’t need the whole car park and there were multiple cars still parked inside as the event got under way.||The hotel decor felt dated and raked back to the 80’s.||Checkout was chaotic with one person on the front desk trying to deal with a customer query while the queue got bigger and bigger. Eventually she fetched the manager(?) out of her office, but she merely dealt with the query then disappeared again leaving the queue no shorter.||This hotel could be the “go-to” hotel in Sylvan Lake but needs some investment to update it.

I mean it's not luxury lodging by any means but for Best Western it was all that we needed and more (well maintained and clean, and the proximity to the lake and Lakeshore Dr strip and complimentary breakfast are perfect)! They accommodated our request for two side by side rooms, and handed us extra towels as needed. For AB patrons, make sure you take advantage of the AMA rewards. We'll definitely be back!

This hotel is ideally located across the street from the beaches. Very clean and well maintained rooms and swimming pool. Only downside was the chaos during the breakfast times. There are not enough tables accommodate all the hotel patrons. Ran out of most breakfast items by 9:15. Only the waffle machines were working which meant a very long time waiting for the waffle irons. |All in all the staff did the best they could to keep things flowing!! No complaints regarding the staff what so ever.

We stayed there for 3 nights and the concierge was amazing professional a hard worker and organized. That's what every traveler wants when your in a lineup. 10 stars. Went to West Edmonton Mall for a few days and came back for another night on our return home to Lethbridge. Another great night 🌙 Thanks 😊 to all the staff. Breakfast was yummy too.
