They're usually great guys but something super funny happened to me yesterday. I went in there to help am elderly lady get some drinks. I have my backpack on and the gentleman asked me to put the backpack behind the counter. I said no problem. He asked how I was doing and I said oh I'm doing great. I'm a little baked. Having a good day and then I asked him where a certain kind of alcohol was. He told me where it was so I went and got it and when I came back to pay for it he said " just to let you know, we're not supposed to serve you alcohol if you're stoned on marijuana" I really thought he was joking! The guy was obviously having a bad day cuz when I searched online when I left the store there is nothing online saying that you can't be stoned and buy alcohol. The reason I gave it two Stars is the way he went about it. I told him I was back 15 minutes before I saw him the second time and I feel like he made that up because he wouldn't have known I had even smoked marijuana if I hadn't mentioned it to him when yeah that's how I was doing. It's not a huge deal but I just I felt kind of silly and kind of embarrassed for him really. Cuz I've got in there so stoned I could barely walk and they've never said a word and the one time I said I was stoned is the one time he decided to make a deal out of it. Just be careful. He's short stocky kind of overweight gentleman with curly hair. Obviously he was having a bad day. I feel bad for the guy but I'm obviously not going to let it go. I checked the BC website. There's nothing in there that says that if I'm stoned that I can't buy alcohol if I've been smoking marijuana unless I'm falling over or noticeably intoxicated. Which I definitely was not.

Very good selection of all types of alcohol. If they don't have it, they try their best to order it in for you. Friendly staff, open late, and entry slips for free swag, tickets, I even won a Team Canada hockey jersey!

I recently visited the liquor store in Duncan and was assisted by Nicholas, who provided outstanding service. His friendly demeanor and deep product knowledge helped me find exactly what I needed. This is a great local small business. And I have been a happy customer for many years. I was upset with them still selling USA liquor products until they explained to me why.
As a small local business they can not return the USA liquor so had to make the hard decision to sell it (but not order any more). Their profit margins are low and they could not absorb this loss nor the cost to store it. It could mean a staff member would be laid off to cover this loss. I am glad that they took the time to explain this to me. With all the Canadians losing their jobs it is important we stick together, support each other and keep the dollars here in Canada during this difficult time. I remain an ardent supporter of this great local business.

Christine helped us order liquor for our wedding. Her recommendations were great ideas. Guests loved our selection of drinks and we even had a little extra which was super easy to return after. Amazing customer service.

Absolutely our favorite place to shop - huge selection of craft beer where you can grab a few singles to try out. The store is huge, well laid out with an assortment of everything. The staff is also pleasant and friendly. Sometimes there are better sales elsewhere but this is a great shopping and browsing experience. My only complaint is the parking lot, but all the parking lots on the island are nutso.
