Food was great. Sat outside, beautiful surroundings.
Had such a sweet waitress - Bailey! It was hot, it was as busy, she was super!! Worth the wait to be seated. Will definitely be going back!!!

Spent a night with a few colleagues at this spot. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere was great. They had very good selection of drinks and food.
I ordered a local IPA and beef wellington which awesome the whole menus was on the pricy side but was worth it.

The Black Goose Inn is located in a grand old building, built in 1921, with many nostalgic touches. True to the Old Brit Style, ie bangers and mash, Guinness etc, it won't disappoint if you have any royal leanings. We shared a Caesar salad and the seafood pot pie and enjoyed every morsel. The walk along the beach in Rathtrevor Park is world class!

Stopped in here for lunch about 2:00, first visit. We were warned food could be 30-40 mins we waited about an hour, 4 meals arrived at the table in 3 trips, the 4rth meal we had to ask about. Once the food arrived it was good but some of it lukewarm to coolish. Suggested tip on debit machine starts at 18 %? Beautiful setting on front lawn/patio, great view. Puzzled with the great reviews, I am guessing the kitchen was having an off day?

Unique, traditional decor with a wonderful view! Food was delicious-recommend the shepherds pie, Caesar salad and chicken vegetable pot pie.

We were coming down from Qualicum to the ferry and had some time to burn when we happened upon this hidden gem. Nice outdoor space nestled in a wooded area between Parksville and Nanaimo. We sat outdoor at the picnic tables because we had our dogs. Yes this place is dog friendly and provides water bowls out in multiple spots. The beer and marg slushies were refreshing and the food was tasty. Even though this place is mostly English dishes, as a pescatarian, I found a delicious salad beetroot salad and some other appies to eat.

I had made a reservation for High Tea and it was absolutely lovely. From the moment I made the reservation (which I had to change around twice) the staff were extremely friendly and understanding. The High Tea itself was stunning. The tea selection was wonderful (and I personally ADORE the brand they use). The food was delicious and positions were excellent. I love that they use real clotted cream. The only downside (not even really a downside) was service took a bit longer to get started but it was a bit busy and understandable. All in all I’ll definitely be returning. It made for a wonderful experience. If you have the opportunity to have the pork and apple spring roll on your menu rotation, you’re a lucky one! I should also mention they took allergies seriously that we had which was another bonus! Good job staff!

Wandered along the beach and noticed on Google maps there was an oceanfront pub with a beautiful view within walking distance from the Rathtrevor Park camping, and we were just in time for happy hour (3 pm). Service was friendly and quick, food was hot and delicious, and the amazing view was second to none!
