Was my first time at Bunchberry Meadows today. It is a conservation area managed by Nature Conservancy Canada. It really is a beautiful area. There is a good sized parking lot and there are a number of paths through the area for all all levels. The trails are clearly marked and easy to walk. They are also very well maintained. Just remember to stay on the paths. It's all about conservancy.

Come out for a half day or longer and experience the beauty here. Just note that dogs are not allowed.

My husband and I first discovered Bunchberry Meadows during COVID: not a good time to come as the place was overwhelmed with people. No parking. Dogs. Cyclists. Some people did not stay on the trails. In 2021, the opening of the Conservation Area was delayed because of all the repairs that needed to be done. Now, however, it's a different story. No crowds, dogs nor cyclists. Lots of places to park.

Bring a lunch and have a picnic when you're done.

The tamaracks are gorgeous in the Fall.

My first time here and it was so beautiful. I've never seen so much birch. It painted a gorgeous white canvas. I can only imagine how breathtaking it will be in the summer. The trail is a loop a little over three kilometers. It's an easy trek with slight elevations. Nothing to crazy. The folks are friendly. There was a lot of skiers, since the trail in near perfect for it. We'll worth the drive.

Friends and I walked the Aspen Parkland Trail, a 4.5km from the parking lot, on a nice sunny day. A very nice walk, essentially flat age well signed, with a good amount of tree cover for shade. Essentially no mosquitoes, at least when we were there. We took longer than the estimated 50 minutes in part because one of our party is recovering from hip surgery.

No tickets needed, Please remember to clean your shoes at the boot brush near the trailhead to prevent unwanted plant seeds from coming with you

This is a hidden gem a short distance from Edmonton where you can get close to nature on gently groomed trails. There are several trail loops of various lengths to enjoy. These trails are right in the bush and are enjoyable to walk. There is some elevation on the trails to make it interesting. This area is directly east of the University of Alberta Botanical Gardens so you could make it a day of and see lots of nature. There is parking and washrooms available. I definitely recommend this place.

A great place to go for a hike! GPS didn't quite get us there, but within a couple minutes of a drive.
