Cactus Club Cafe at English Bay is one of Vancouver’s most iconic beachfront dining destinations, offering a perfect blend of upscale casual dining and breathtaking ocean views. Located right on the seawall, it’s a favourite spot for both locals and visitors looking to enjoy delicious food with a front-row seat to the sunset. The restaurant features a menu curated by Executive Chef Rob Feenie, with popular dishes such as the Tuna Stack, Butcher’s Cut Steak, and Truffle Fries. Fresh seafood options and plant-based dishes also cater to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences.

The standout feature is the open-air patio, often buzzing with energy, especially during warm summer evenings. It’s a prime location for people-watching, sipping creative cocktails, and soaking in the West Coast atmosphere. Inside, the stylish and modern interior offers a comfortable setting for any occasion—whether it’s a date night, group gathering, or casual lunch.

Service is generally warm, professional, and efficient, contributing to the overall enjoyable experience. The English Bay location combines great food, exceptional views, and a laid-back yet refined vibe, making it one of the most memorable places to dine in Vancouver. Reservations are recommended, especially during peak hours or weekends.

My initial experience at the Cactus Club in Park Royal, specifically during happy hour, was positive due to the excellent service. However, I observed that the portion size of the hot chicken with pickles, offered during happy hour, was notably smaller compared to other Cactus Club locations I have visited. This discrepancy was disappointing, although the portion sizes of other happy hour menu items appeared consistent.

One of my favorite restaurants in town—I’ve had great memories here over the years. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are warm and inviting. I used to love their Jambalaya Bowl, though it’s no longer on the menu. This time, I had the red curry chicken—flavorful, filling, and delicious. We sat on the balcony, talked for hours, and laughed a lot. It was a great day, and I’ll definitely be back.

The Cactus Club Park Royal patio is one my favourite spots for summer evenings. Even though it gets very busy, we actually found plenty of tables on a weekday night since we rolled in around 9 PM which was perfect for catching their happy hour.
I had my go-to Bellini, we also tried out the new Tuna Temaki, which was absolutely delicious – such a good addition to their menu. The Happy Hour Steak Frites is always a solid deal; my husband's steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare, though mine was just a tiny bit over, but still totally enjoyable.
Our first server was super attentive. We seemed to have a shift change partway through, so no one really checked in for feedback during the meal, but honestly, no big deal – it was a really quiet and enjoyable dinner for a mid-week night out.

The portion size is way less than what it used to be. It even lesser than the happy hour creole chicken!
30$ for one dish and that doesn’t fill you up is Insane in my opinion.
Cactus never use to be like that but it’s the downfall fr. Won’t be returning. Lots of options around. See the pictures and they never charged for these seasonal veggies.

They treated us with a free cheesecake for our birthday which was so nice.
The food was delicious and atmosphere is definitely great.
The only thing I don't like about Cactus Club is that they keep asking you if you need anything else, every 10minutes! It's annoying the customers honestly!

Cactus club is my favourite but yesterday I ordered online from DoorDash, The burger I ordered was overcooked and dry, with a burnt taste. The bun was way too soggy and soft. Honestly, it was one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had. I wasn’t satisfied and I don’t recommend the cactus club West Vancouver. I believe the chef likes burnt taste of food. This is not the first time that I received that much bad food from this restaurant.
