Over a two day stay, guests were excessively loud, running down the halls and shouting as they went; some attempted to enter the room, at other times banging on the door. When this behaviour was reported to hotel reception, I was interrupted and told how difficult the situation was for them to deal with.

At checkout, when told of this unacceptable experience, I was again interrupted; the staff member complained about how difficult the situation was for her. It appears nothing was done over the course of the two nights to deal with the problem.

As I cannot trust that any future issues will be resolved, I will not be staying here in the future, and will be recommending against staying here.

When my family and I were heading home from Cgy, we stopped in Hanna to grab some food and stretch our legs. After heading off, we noticed shortly after that we were having brake issues, and being a long weekend, we had no choice but to stay the night. After hearing about our troubles, the staff were very accommodating and offered us a discounted rate. Understood that they were under no obligation to do so, we cannot express our gratitude enough and would like to extend our thanks to their staff. Rooms were nice and they are located close to almost everything. Highly recommended!

We checked in and The evening staff was amazing. She was very friendly and very accommodating. At breakfast Mona (kitchen staff) made a very rude and loud comment. A guest left their table, they had neatly stacked their dishes, she loudly commented “oh don’t worry, I’ll clean up your dishes. Do you think I have nothing better to do, than clean up after you!”
I appreciate that many of the guests stay there frequently, but many people do not. Someone needs to explain to her that guests are not expected to clean up after a meal. If we did, she wouldn’t have a job.
Over all the motel was great. All remaining staff were very helpful and friendly. I have attached a photo of a very dirty blanket that was on the bed.
Great motel overall, some staff need more training.

Breakfast was great. Large room with lots of hot water for showers. Great outdoor space for my dogs.

In many ways, this is the best motel/hotel in Hanna. The staff, the public areas, the breakfasts, and the rooms are very good. The only two consistent downfalls are the room air conditioning (as they seem to max-out no lower than 24C when it’s very hot outside), and the wi-fi. The internet is sooooo incredibly slow when I have stayed there. Unfortunately, I need wi-fi to work from my hotel room in Hanna. As a result, this has made me stay at the Canada Grey Motor Inn across the street. Might this be an issue with all Canalta hotels? If you do not need wi-fi and you are OK with your room not cooling down lower than +24C when it’s +30C or above, this is the place to stay.

On a holiday Monday, as we were passing through Hanna on our way home from Calgary, our car broke down and we needed to spend the night. They got us in a room right away, and gave us a discount after we told them about our car troubles. The next morning, while waiting for our car to be fixed, they gave us a late check-out as we had nowhere else to go, and when our car was done in the shop, Scott gave my husband a ride down to pick up our car as we had no way to get back to the shop.
I have never had that kind of hospitality in such a stressful situation. I cannot say enough good things about all the staff, and residents of Hanna. Thank you for making our bad day a little better.

We've always had an enjoyable stay at the Canalata Hanna and this time was no differenece. This is by far the best hotel in town. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. We also enjoyed the selections of hot and cold breakfast available. We specially appreciated the friendly and welcoming staff who are always willing to help. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.
