An excellent find. I was so happy to have discovered this little local establishment. I had a burger and fries with a hot tea. This was one of the best home made burgers I have had in years. The fries are home made with skins on, served piping hot and I enjoyed them thoroughly. The tea was even served in a tea pot and it was a tasty orange pekoe. The premises are clean and the atmosphere is great with nice decorations and plenty of tv screens for the fans. Lots of parking and an outdoor seating area. A truly great bar and grill and I will be back again while I am in town.

Place looks great and staff are very friendly. Great place to have some food and eat some dollar fries! Probably one of the only towns that have dollar fries. Definitely recommend stopping by and trying the food! Highly recommend the dollar fries.

Accidentally came across this pub and got really disappointed when the door was closed off and then we realized we’re supposed to go into the side! It was such a relief to find a good food joint while we were walking and the food was phenomenal and priced so pleasantly. Got a burger and some chicken strips and fries and I’m telling you that burger was phenomenal, no grease and like an inch patty on that thing with perfect lettuce and tomato’s and just a perfect image and taste, exactly what you would see on pictures when you think of a burger. The chicken strips were huge and so good and surprisingly a little juicy. I’ve never wanted to go out of my way to make a review on CHICKEN STRIPS but these were just so so great and most definitely moneys worth. The fries, just so incredibly great and long and just, no words go try them! The menus were so unique and to the point and got me and my partner to giggle a couple times! We also had access to the pool table and it was so much fun having access to a game we both enjoy while briefly waiting for our food. The decor is beyond impressive and the bathroom doors are most definitely something to admire they are so incredibly unique! The restaurant gave us a pleasant feeling of saloon vibes! We even debating dancing to the music they had going at the perfect volume not overly loud that we couldn’t hear each other but loud enough so we could feel the best, if I’m not mistaken the floors in the building were perfect to line dance on! Thank you for such a wonderful time!

If you don't stop in this place it's your loss. Owner, staff and patrons are all class.
Great food and service
Small town bar with lots of comfort and style!
The down side is that it's not right on the highway for everyone to notice. But its only a couple blocks away!
Im super happy i found it. I'll definitely be back

I absolutely love going to Chars Bar!!!! The atmosphere is always so welcoming. I always have the best time. The menu is the best menu I’ve ever seen. 👌😅 Inside is always so clean with amazing decor and I love the patio. A great place to go for a bite to eat and a few delicious beverages. I would recommend 💯

Such an awesome place!! Whether you want to relax or have fun, the options are all there. The food is out of this world amazing and the service is homemde absolutely top notch. The red neck deck is the perfect place to chill out or get carried away. Your sure to have just one more!!

We were in Bow Island for work.
Char does a great job of making you feel welcome.
Our group started with a couple orders of dollar fries - one with the works, the other vegetarian-friendly. YUM!
Our mains were all delicious and the veggie pizza got 2 thumbs up from our vegetarian coworker (he said it was the best in town).
Will definitely be back next time and highly recommend stopping in if you’re driving between Lethbridge and Medicine Hat.
