We recently celebrated our baby shower at Chennai Express, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the warm and pleasant ambiance. The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was packed with authentic South Indian flavors, but the fresh dosa stood out as the star of the evening!

What made our celebration even more special was the hospitality of the owner and his wife—truly wonderful human beings who made sure everything was perfect for us. Their kindness and passion for great food shine through in every detail.

If you’re looking for delicious South Indian food and a welcoming environment, Chennai Express is the place to be! We’ll definitely be back!

“Visited for the first time and had the Pongal Thali. The taste was very authentic, truly reminiscent of home-cooked food back in India. It was great to hear Tamil songs playing in the background, which added to the overall experience. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. Definitely has the South Indian Touch in their Ambience and their Choice of Music. Good food and the prices are reasonable. Visited twice for supper and has been mostly quiet during weekdays evenings. Lots of parking space.

So, we recently decided to check out a new restaurant in the area for a family dinner. It had just opened, and we figured we’d try something different. Honestly, I’m glad we did because the food was excellent.

We ordered a variety of dishes—fried rice, naan, beef curry, chicken tikka masala, chana masala, and paneer tikka. Everything was well-prepared and had distinct, flavorful tastes. The fried rice, in particular, stood out for me. It was different from anything I’ve had before, in the best way.

The desserts were another highlight. We tried the mango kulfi, chocolate brownie with ice cream, and payasa. Each one was worth it, and I’d recommend saving room for dessert if you visit.

One thing that adds to the experience is that the chef is also one of the owners. You can tell there’s a lot of care put into the food, and it really shows.

Overall, it’s a great spot, and I genuinely hope it does well. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth checking out. We’ll be going back for sure.

The very name Chennai Express suggests that the cuisine is from the beautiful state of Tamilnadu with its capital in Chennai, in India.
The location is good with ample free parking space. There are other businesses and a Gas station inside this complex , which is in Millwoods. Its very easy to access this restaurant from 66 street.
The restaurant was bright and clean. The ambience was truly interesting with artificial Plantain trees that gives it the feeling of being in the wonderful peninsular state of Tamilnadu.

The food was very tasty and the quantity was good. The price was moderate. We ordered Lamb Biriyani Chennai bastmati rice style which came in a bamboo container , mouth watering chicken 65 and delicious goat leg soup , which is a delicacy in the southern state of Tamilnadu.
They have a great menu for kids which is priced well. This Diwali they had a special menu and it was extended to tbe weekend. We ordered a Dindigul Biriyani combo which came with soup , raitha; mysorepak sweet, boondi , Chicken 65 and eggplant semi dry gravy. It was delicious. The kids cone shaped Dosa with white coconut chutney and Sambhar are good too. The spicy chicken 65 was truly tasty.

I understand this restaurant was started by three friends and we met one of the partners Mr. Kamal who welcomed us warmly. The service was great and the staff were friendly. Both our servers Mr. Alfred and Ms.Mehak were good.

Was looking for a spot to dine in this cold weather, found this nice and cozy place. They have mouth watering food. Had their lamb vindaloo which was perfectly cooked, fresh and tasted amazing. Not a fish person normally but it was my favourite dish accompanied by the hot garlic naan. Loved it!

We recently dined here and had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the Goat Biriyani and the Chennai Special Masala Dosa, both of which were fantastic. The complementary Pineapple kesar was a nice little surprise and tasted awesome.
The ambience of the restaurant is very nice. There is plenty of parking available. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The prices are reasonable and there’s enough space for dine-in even for large groups.

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic South Indian cuisine

Goat biryani is a must try! It’s absolutely delicious. The meat was so tender and the rice was well seasoned. The butter chicken and chai was also good. Staff were friendly. I would definitely come back to try other dishes.
