First time to visit this recreation center because my son registered road trip camp of Surrey city. Quietly new building . Spacious. Surrey city hold some youth activists here. Outside there is spacious Greenland for kids activities. What I disliked is there is homeless shelter cross the street. You can see some homeless who looks very wired and dirty dressed, behaving oddly . I told my son not go outside by himself since I worry about these homeless did wrong things to kids. Hope government removes these homeless shelter from this location.

In my journey as I explored Whalley on Christmas Day. No one was around but I was amazed how developed the skate park is. Lots of cool tricks you can practice here. There's some areas for hanging out undercover. There's a court. The parking lot is spacious. EV charge station. I didn't go inside because it was closed.

I love going to Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre the staff that works there are very nice polite and they have lots of experience I go to learn how to play a game of playing pool well yesterday was the most fun ever I played a good game and sometimes I meet some new people there to.

Good park but I wouldn’t bring any children here; they even removed the kids playground next to the skatepark because of the littered needles in the area, my friend was poked while trying to clean up the bowl. Instead of adding more security they added a device that makes a high pitched sound at night to ward off the homeless people. All in all it was a very bad decision to put this very expensive skatepark in this area, Also the roof does NOT keep the park dry during rain. As someone who has been skateboarding in BC for over 12 years, I cannot understand why anyone would think a half roof would suffice for a skatepark. It’s only rideable for the first 15 minutes that it starts raining then everything is wet and dangerous.
