What a lovely space in SW Calgary! The spa is surprisingly bigger than you’d think for its location, and they did a fantastic job with the decor and aesthetics. We completed 3 cycles of hot/cold/relax during our 2-hour session, and tried all of the different saunas (the steam sauna gets HOT!). The cold plunge seemed hard at first, but you get used to it surprisingly quick. We also loved relaxing in the social space between our hot and cold cycles — you’ve got to check out their table that draws patterns in sand, it’s mesmerizing (photo below).

Everything was really tidy and clean, and the staff were very helpful in setting us up. Super calm and relaxing environment — would definitely recommend checking out Clear Nordic! Great date night out.

Had a wonderful first experience at Clear Nordic Spa and became a member so I look forward to going back. The facilities are beautiful, clean and serene. I like the different options of sauna, steam and infrared sauna. I’m new to hydrotherapy but I am very excited to have an option in the city for me to incorporate it into my wellness routine.

I went to clear Nordic for the first time today and absolutely loved the experience.

From the moment you walk in, many things have been well thought out. I loved the video on how to use the spa, and the emphasis on the rules on silence. I do like the social room option for people who did come together can socialize and keep the spa silent.

The change rooms are small but they did a good job staggering the members so I had no issues changing/using the lockers as others had me toned.

The space was spotless and very thoughtful touches from decor, high quality shampoo/conditioner. Loved the vibe was a Japanese onsen.

The space was so calm and relaxing as soon as we entered, with many beautiful options for hot and cold. The saunas and pools were large and very clean.

The only thing I would love as a clear float member downtown, to have a membership option that includes 1x per month for both locations in an option.

I signed up for a membership and this will be my go to space for hydrotherapy in Calgary over the others.

I have been twice now and overall I enjoy this space. Beautiful ambience. I love the quietness and the different sauna spaces are all awesome. The cold pool plunge is extremely cold which is good; however, it is not easy to get into, nor deep enough. The rest area is also a bit lacking. The chairs are low to the ground and there are only a few. Would be nice if they reclined and had higher backrests. The women’s change room is nicely decorated; however very tiny and no private space to change. The front area and the social area are both beautiful spaces and the staff have all been great. I look forward to my next visit.

Came here recently with a friend as I have been excitedly waiting for this spa to open. Location is great with ample parking and staff was lovely.

I loved the decor and how calming the ambience was. The main spa area is large with multiple options for sauna and pool time and you never feel it is too crowded; they do a great job with spacing groups out. I also loved how it is a quiet space with the option to socialize in a separate room (check out the cool sand table when you’re there!).

There is complimentary tea and water which was great. Also loved the little touches of the labeled hooks to separate towels and robes and nice hair & body products in the shower.

There is, however, some room for improvement. The ladies change room (especially the corner with the lockers) feels quite cramped. We often had to wait for others to finish up just to be able to access our lockers. I think extending the lockers to the area where there is a huge vanity and mirrors would go a long way in freeing up space and improving the flow. I’m someone who prefers steam to dry saunas but in this case found the steam sauna here overly hot. The steam felt like it was on the verge of burning our skin so we had to leave after only about a minute. I did enjoy the dry saunas however and they were perfect temperature wise.

All in all, I think this is a solid place with reasonable pricing and a very calming experience. With some improvements, I would definitely consider a membership. I would recommend trying them out for sure.

Loved the overall experience, the saunas, the relaxation area and the welcome attendants. It’s a great experience for Calgarians to warm up in the middle of Arctic blast! The only areas for improvement are:
Lowering temperature in the steam room
Arranging for mats in the change rooms as floors get slippery
I noticed it was mentioned by another customer and I appreciate management responses on possible improvement. Overall very please with the experience! Thank you!

We visited the spa today and while I enjoyed the spa the rule of it being a silent spa was noticeably ignored by some, however the staff never gently reminded anyone when in attendance.

The room design I also believe could have been better. My robe got soaked because the shower and dump bucket was directly across from where my robe hung.

The cold plung area I also feel is poorly designed for the amount of people the spa holds at a time, in which we waited our turn a few times during the cycles.

The infrared sauna was disappointing. The panels didn’t seem to give off much heat and the over head heaters are mostly heating up your head, not your body.

Although we went early, when it was a little less busy, I was disappointed in how small the change room was. There were about 8 girls and not one spot to change in private, let alone move around. The showers had hair on the walls and I sliced my hand on the first shower that the glass was poorly cut during construction.

Overall it was an okay experience but I am not sure I would attend again for the cost. We’ve been to several spas and this one being new I expected a better experience.

Had a great time at Clear Nordic last night. Really nice facility, and amenities. No need to bring lots of extras as slippers, towels, robes and water are provided.

What really struck me about this place is it’s built for routine. Really easy to get to and meant to be an ongoing experience. Following the hot, cold, rest, repeat cycle left me feeling rejuvenated and I plan to go regularly going forward. Be sure to bring a book for the rest portion.

I found most guests respectful to the quiet intention and I think by design it wasn’t overcrowded. Even the staff member squeegeeing the floor was doing so without making a sound with a rhythmic flow that reminding me of upkeeping a Japanese dry garden. Definitely worth checking out if you’re interested in Hydrotherapy!
