Visited friends staying in one of the cabins. They were in need of some tlc in the outside. The kitchen needed some extra items for cooking and the BBQ for outdoor use was for rent not for use with the cabin. The water was not drinkable either and that hopefully will get fixed soon. Love the view and the campsite in general but some improvements are needed.

There is another place to camp in Port McNeil that is self serve. It was $26 a night and not very nice for camping at all. Cluxewe Resort was $38 for the one night. Normally you can only book for 2 nights, unless you show up in person at the night you want to stay. Everything is along a long stretch of beach (beautiful view), and everyone is fishing right from the beach. Bring a fishing line and buy your license online. Pretty much don't have data from the campsite. Outer campsites have a bit of wifi, but there is full wifi near the office (field with playground for kids). We were very happy. When it was foggy, the foghorn was blaring on the water consistently, and our neighbors were up early and chatting away, so there wasn't much sleeping in. It was wild. A bald eagle caught a fish carcass and was eating it in the tree in our campsite.

An excellent choice for families.

Many serviced lots and tent spaces, some along the ocean.

We stayed the second week in September, and the pink salmon were jumping. Lots of fishers out along the beach.

This is a beautiful area, however the camp site itself could do with some additional amenities. Where we parked our RV's we were quite a walk to the toilets/showers. They could do with another ablution block on the wholes site. The staff were cold/unfriendly, however we only needed to check in, so ... moving on. We stayed two nights. It's such a lovely location. The weather wasn't great, but hey, it was still worth a visit.

We stayed for 5 days at the RV park, the campground is a very scenic area. But the washrooms and laundry area are in big need of cleaning, which wasn’t done in the 5 days that we were there. No potable water on site and that should be mentioned on their website ?

We checked in early Fri morning at 11am which was nice. Were told the key was on the table for our cabin#5. It appeared that no effort was made to clean or freshen up the cabin for our arrival. Dirty windows, cobwebs inside by floor lamp shade, dust hanging off beam ceiling beams, stains olong bathtub, outside deck dirty, plastic bag of brown stuff resembling dog poop just outside our deck on the beach. Potable water pump only worked on first day. Hardly anyone at the resort. Was very disappointed needless to say.

This resort has no drinkable water. They could very easily put this out there front and center on their website for all to see. But no. Instead they will gladly let you book a site with water & power without mentioning the water is not potable. After you book, they then send you a confirmation email that states they have no drinkable water and that you should obtain water elsewhere before your stay. Say what? Oh, and when you ask about it, they say you should have read the terms & conditions. Really? Yes, it is mentioned way down a few paragraphs in the T&C, but seriously, who reads those? The ethical thing to do would be to present this information upfront before you book. I have looked at all their web pages: 2024 RV Site Rates, Services and Policies, Cluxewe Resort Facilities - no mention of non-potable water anywhere. Who offers Water & Power sites with non-potable water What is the point of having a water hook-up when the water is not drinkable? You could never hook up. You would contaminate your entire RV water system. Oh, want to cancel after finding out your Water & Power hook-up site has no potable water? Well, cancellation fees apply. What a scam!
