Just Wow... I know it was later in the evening when we went to dinner but could you not have fresh food for your late dinners. We decided to go to the buffet instead of platted service. I have to say I tried just about everything on this very limited menu, and what was not stale was tasteless. Even the soft serve ice cream had no flavor. I noticed that they sat all the guests by the windows...good marketing trick. Passersby would think it's busy if the windows look full. The service staff was delightful and tended to us with grace. Considering the garbage food they were serving, the staff did wonderfully to keep us happy. None the less, it wasn't worth it. Heck, even the custard they offered for dessert was solid. Trust me, it's not supposed to be. Shame on you for serving such trash. Cochrane...honestly find someplace else to eat...the stomach ache is not worth it.

Recent renos have made the place brighter and feel more open. The food is good and replaced frequently enough during the buffet for me to be satisfied. The dessert bar has a decent selection and their ice cream supplier makes the ice cream really creamy which I like as well. I can't say I've ever ordered food without coming to the buffet, but the buffet is certainly worth the money if you can eat a couple plates. Good variety of dishes at the buffet as well.

Delicious! Good variety, tasty dishes and friendly staff. It wasn’t a busy night but they were happy to make any of the dishes that were low in the buffet. We especially enjoyed the Shanghai noodles, spring rolls, stir fry vegetables, deep fried squid and steamed buns. Our two teens enjoyed everything as well. We will be back!

I got there just as they were opening; all of the dishes were out within 10 minutes.

Fresh, hot and tasty - exactly how it should be!

The cook came out, and he was proud of what he produced (he should be). I asked whether he made his own batter for the chicken balls, and he said yes.

The reason I asked is because many restaurants use frozen chicken balls and won ton soup made in other places. Being fresh makes this place better than its competition.

A few suggestions:
- keep all the seafood together
- use thin won ton wraps instead of the doughy thicker flour. Make the won tons smaller (and use less ginger in the meat mix) in a bowtie manner, not in a crown or dumpling
-don't use excess batter on the chicken balls; the chicken portion has too much in places. They don't have to be round to be good

Must-eat items:
- ginger beef
- chicken balls
- peppered beef
- steamed items
The bean sprouts are cooked perfectly.

The staff is delightful. It's evident they're all working together and communicate well.

Even though their renovations were a while ago, the place looks fresh. I was the first in at 4:30 on a Friday, and by the time I left, it was already close to full.

Cochrane is lucky to have such a good buffet. $25 is very reasonable for a dinner buffet of this quality.

Like many, we have a tradition of having Chinese food on Christmas Eve. This year we ordered from Chinese Wok. I pre-ordered yet waited over an hour from my scheduled pick up time to receive my order. Upon arriving at my family dinner, I discovered that my over $160!!!! order was not only cold but there was no soy sauce, no sauce for the sweet and sour chicken balls and squid instead of ribs and no fortune cookies (which is t major but always a fun part of the dinner). The quality of the food was close to inedible. Only 2 of 4 people actually finished their meal. I understand how crazy busy the restaurant was but being busy is not an excuse for a ridiculous wait, cold food, and missing items. A beloved tradition was really just a ruined meal.

Pre-ordered for Christmas Eve days in advanced to pick up at 6:00PM. Went through drive through and was given a beeper type device and told to wait by the front door and stay in my car. After sitting in my car for 30 minutes I went inside where many other people were waiting for pickup orders. I waited inside for another 50 minutes, was asked five times for my phone number, had (who I think was a manager) walk away while I was trying to inquire about my order. Finally got my order and when arrived home and unpacked I was missing sauce for the lemon chicken and most people had to heat up their meals as the food was not hot.
While I understand that Christmas Eve would be a busy night there seemed to be no organization or communication as to what was going on. Overall a very disappointing experience.
